'UK preparing to end aid programme to India'

Hope oneday we will be out from Common Wealth nations...
I m waiting for that day...:alcoholic:

.
Wonder why so much is made about Aid to Pakistan when Indians have been getting aid themselves

.
About time that the Brits did it. They need it more now in their presently strained circumstances. Good luck to them.

.
Even Brazil overtook UK.
UK has been sleeping while india became the third largest economy by PPP.

. . . .
why U.K is making fuss abt aid to us. are we asking for it???? our F.M had said in past that U.K can stop its aid to india if they want to as it is just peanuts for us.

.
That's because your leaders are going around the world begging for Aid and trade concessions.....and on the other hand India is asking them to stop these kind of Aid....

Lol of course your leaders were giving money to Africa. fantastic well done for your achievements.

.
we dont need UK aid in fact we already reiterated this to them we are able to alleviate poverty by ourselves albeit in some areas where there are idiots in power e.g West Bengal they will unfortunately suffer for a little bit longer.

this
SO CALLED AID
was a bribe in fact for choosing Typhoon and it didnt work.

Gora is a very smart species (no pun intended) there is no such thing as free and aid in his books.

I agree Irfan bhai - the problem is the Brits also have small short memories. They forget the looting and theft of Indias crown jewels when they departed. They forget what India sacrificed for the British empire. This isnt aid - it was given to pasify and sooth the guilt they feel and to "keep relations smooth". By this i mean to keep India onside for deals like Typhoon.
What they dont realize is the narrow minded thinking is going to cost them tenfold. They cant see potentially how many deals this is going to freeze in the future. The UK are closing off potentially a massive client for future deals. They have forgotten Great Britain is no longer great.
Now the pupil has become the teacher

very much so
they are entirely on the shoulders of uncle Sam and cant even afford to fund their own navy and already working on joining with French Navy to cover the costs and have a face saving.

Goldman Sachs executives dont call them Muppet without reason. on one hand they switched to entirely service industry and based their economy on speculation and when this bubble burst they started to control immigration as if thats going to help them out. And in desperate attempt to save whatever manufactring bsae they have left they went out of their ways to bribe other countries to buy their stuff

they succeeded in Saudia where they bribed the royal family princes (Yamama deal) and hence managed to sell them Hawks and Typhoons. Blair rejected the recommendations of public account committee on bribe charges citing "national security and interests".

but Indians proved to be much smarter and turned down their offer of a good plane with some handsome bribe (reported to be over a billion pound with installments of about 250 Million a year. )

these aids are meant to buy leverage too I am just linking it with Indian MMRCA contract due to proximity of the dates which may be just a coincidence but UK prime Minsters was really desperate when he made personal visits to India and brought up this issue as well and went out of his way while addressing Indian students and other select audiences in Bangalore and other cities and said the things that Indians wanted to hear regarding Pakistan. telling Pakistan not to look the other way regarding terrorism in India(ref LeT etc) but himself decided to look away from Kashmir.

Brazil has already bypassed UK in economic strength and GDP. this empire is the thing of the past. some people in UK fear the day when it might be forced to accept economic aid or loans from India.
this will be a disaster and death for the white suprimists and fascists who in this age still think of white superiority and specially treat the people of the subcontinent with utter contempt and slaves.

following might not be fully related to this thread but just pointing out at the mindset I have seen during my short stay in UK.
I have seen it with my own eyes. A sikh friend of mine who is from a very wealthy lawyers family took me to a private party in a small town that is full of millionaires and lords. it was a strict black tie dinner and as the evening went the inhibitions went away with few drinks and all the stiff upper lipped people started to open up. my Sikh friend is very chatty, smart and eloquent and was speaking to a group and I went to the wash room and when I came back the guy was all red and huffing and puffing. upon asking he told me that an old tart came over to him asking him what he was doing there? and he said he was invited to the party and knew the hosts. she asked the question again why he was there? he stopped thought for a moment and said he was here because he was born and bread here and he was British. She said No, and said he was the wrong color. at that moment her husband heard her and came over and took her to one side. the hosts tried to calm us down but he left immediately after that.

now this British Sikh is very fond of Brtion and is very much happy and proud of it but says that he still have to come across these kind of people who would object his appearance, mistaking him for a Muslim and being brown.
