Why? Why don't those people get an education? As a university student, I work in the summer semester. The 1st year I worked I made minimum wage (10.75$/hr). There is NO way you can support a family as the sole breadwinner with that kind of wage so all people who want to sponsor their family while making that kind of wage should be denied.

2.Even increased,how big should the minimum wage have to be so you could support a whole family?.You'd be doubling it or even tripling it for that to happen.Not a solution.

Ideally those people should be citizens, both the worker and their spouse (who ideally should work too). If their spouse is an immigrant, then they are costing the country more than their non-immigrant counterpart. It makes no sense for immigration of low income people unless the locals can't fulfill the market need.

@ the looking down part. I feel there should be a slight, ever so slight, look down. If we don't then they will be complacent and abuse the welfare system more and have no desire to move up the ladder.

I think Conservative will win. Labour doesn't have the leadership and its rule is still fresh in many people's memory. Conservatives are pro Business, British economy will do well under them but public spending cuts will continue to hit NHS, Police and generally the working class.

I dont have any issue how a country decides their immigration policy.. but it should be fair and based on some principle.
You can stop migrants if you want.. but cant force people out of UK to get better statistics. Europeans cant be touched so rest of world especially asians pay for it.

Yes,in here is the same but problems come when the state raises the minimum wage to score brownie points with voters without any economic stats backing that measure ,thus ,this meddling becomes nocive in the business world.

Wrong,it's the other way around.In the UK it's not politically correct to focus on Asians but it's ok to do this with Europeans.See the campaigns against Eastern Europeans.
