UK foreign ministry to raise issue of treatment of minorities with Pakistan

well UK can boot lick all they want to USA doesn't change the fact they are America's b!tch :) and as for Pakistan been on China's mercy that's diplomacy and geopolitics kid, China will VETO any stupid Decision by America or UK .. first of all i doubt UK does have any independent Foreign Policy to begin , America say Jump Brits will ask how high ? and as for Pakistani's flocking to UK for better life, that is not just limited to Pakistan .. immigration is common thing , plus it was the British Colonizers who first looted India and half of the world to build their country .

lets get back to topic, Minorities are ill-treated in Pakistan, YEAH there are incidents but there are no attacks on Minorities in UK ? i think they have to show concern over young girls been raped by British People , they have to show concern over rising Attacks on Muslims in White neighborhoods .. etc
You definitely don't know much about Britain. Don't get too emotional just because of some few minor issue our government might have raised with the Pakistanis officials. You cant even compared the rights and freedom any group(minority or not) enjoys in Britain with Pakistan or any country in the region for that matter.

your are mistaken my friend, i am not here comparing anything .. All i am saying to the British people to mind their own DAMN business and fix your own first before lecturing us ... whats wrong in that ? imagine if Some European country start lecturing you for something they are ahead of you , would you appreciate it ? we do appreciate critics but we are also working towards a better future for our minorities .. we have long journey to make but we will surely getting there, and if UK is so eager to show concern over minorities than i suggest ask your govt to go East from Pakistan , there lies the biggest democrazy ever , just have a look how minorities are treated over there, i am sure UK will have plenty of concerns to show there :)

.
it doesn't matter my friend , you live in your country that is on you how you treat your minorities good or bad, we have our issues to deal with which we are dealing with at steady pace , but lecturing someone over something which one's country is not even Free from is not a wise idea :)
Sometimes our government has to raise human rights abuses when meeting other developing countries officials due to public pressure from the public/NGOs/human rights groups and lawyers representing such groups in developing countries(especially depending on how bad the abuses are) etc. Same reason May was forced to call Trump on some of his comments he made. I don't think it's a major issue that the British government takes that seriously, they are just raising concerns and trying to balance pressure from our public/human rights groups/leftists/NGOs and civil society groups who are quite powerful and influential here. Just consider it as a formality.
Moreover, the British government hardly ever raises any negative issues or make negative remarks regarding Pakistan(even when other western countries do). So i think there must have been a reason they raised some sort of concern with their Pakistanis officials when dealing regarding this issue. I wont read much into this though.

well in that case its fine , even Pakistan share concern over deaths of Terrorism in fact we are victim of Terrorism. What i took this as a Insult which a lot of western countries likes to lecture other countries over Human rights etc when someone of them openly break their own laws .
as for me , i have nothing personal against UK , i never been there but hopefully someday i will visit :)

I am sure all those Arab and Roman slave traders did it for the fun of it
I can say the same: Quit being a fool

As usual a dumb indian poking his nose into something he does not comprehend. In Britain Slavery existed much , much earlier. In fact when Romans conquered Britain, Slavery was a well establish cultural institution in Britain. So, indian halfwit dolt, now hop along and stick to where you belong - The very big filthy Dump called India.

they need to investigate " punish a muslim" first and than start thinking of other countries...

I never said Pakistan was an Islamic government. I know it isn't, which is why I don't blame the minorities for any misconduct in their part

Law abiding citizen is one who pays taxes and obeys the law. Even if the non Muslims break a few laws, so long as they still pays taxes and don't engage in warfare, it doesn't count as war, just disobedience which carries the same punishment as it would for anyone who disobeys the law. Only if they stop paying taxes or engage
in actual warfare do the idols become a target. Also, Sharia doesn't force minorities to do much if anything.

The Mullahs and politicians should be dealt with too, but we are not talking about them right now.

Akbar is the golden standard for you guys, so I might as well bring him up.

So not paying taxes or following the law is akin to declaring war?

Nobody cares about Akbar or anyone that hasn't existed in the last 20 years, please bring yourself into the present.

What's your take on this? From what i've noticed, our government has always had a soft stance towards Pakistan compared to many other countries in the region(which is normal given the huge Pakistani community that have migrated to Britain and integrated to some extent for generations). So it's difficult to see why they will raise this minority issue with Pakistan. Is it a real issue there?

They will raise it bro, but it's more like a "oh this could you look into it" polite type conversation. The UK has always been soft on many commonwealth states, look at what happened with Sri-Lanka, the government turned a blind eye even with raging protests.

Not paying taxes is akin to war if you refuse to no matter what. As for laws, if you read my post, I said it depends what laws.

What about Jinnah or Iqbal? They died long before 20 years ago. Should we stop caring about them?

The irony is amazing here.

This coming from a country which is a breeding ground of Isis and labels the races as conforming to anglo saxon values or not.

Nawaz and most of PMLN dont pay taxes, so I guess we have to remove Punjabis and destroy all Punjabi culture then.

If its about applying their views into a modern society then no, Iqbal and Jinnah are only relevant in topics related to the matter of Pakistan or the history of early Pakistan.

Nawaz is not Punjabi.

If only Pakistan had the balls...

Is there a state sanctioned policy preventing non Muslims from believing in their faiths? Or is it a societal thing which every society suffers from...?

Even if it is not a state sanctionned policy, even if it is societal thing that every society suffers, isn't it the state duty to take care of all citizen, if not not for their financial wealth, at least for their safety ? and if we are muslims, what Islam teach us about the minorities ? Is it because every society suffers of this disease that we should not work to take the correct path, to build a strong nation ? Because others are doing wrong so should we do wrong too ?

I maybe wrong, but in my humble opinion, we should protect our minorities. It's very sad that muslims in Pakistan are doing to minorities what hindus were doing to minorities in India before Pakistan creation. very sad !

Where does culture even come into this? Statues are haram, they are to be destroyed unless those worshipping them form either a treaty with the Muslims or pay taxes and become part of the state. This is Islamic law, which Pakistan is supposed to be run by.
