I never understand Arab countries military strategy. KSA for instance...Why UAE looks after Su-35 when its airforce are Western based and when it has the latest F-16 version? And is this news real after all?

In the ME, the Arab despots are more TERRIFIED of each other than they are even annoyed at Israel. The Iran-Iraq war and the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, especially images of the burning Kuwaiti oil fields, proved conclusively to each despot that muslim unity is a myth, that nationalism trumps religious ties, that oil wealth that can buy Ferraris and Western blond bimbos are more important than Quranic principles. It does not matter the source of the arms. What matter is what can 'we' buy NOW and how can 'we' quickly integrate into an alliance, led by the US, to fight off another one of 'our' own in the event 'we' have another Saddam Hussein.

i think they are filling the gaps of future when their oil will finish they have a fully prepared airforce at that time to defend the country their is a article the uae oil reserves will be 80 percent finished till 2015 thats why they are getting as much as they can so in future they dont have probleum to buy expansive weapons

This is most likely the Fighter that India will go for in its MCRA Aircraft competition for 126 fighter aircraft.

India already has the infrastructure for these aircraft and it will renew the Russian-Indian alliance that has been a little a drift since USA started taking more of an interest in India.

How will Pakistan deal with this Aircraft?

I can understand why Pakistanis are so happy about this deal. Pakistan can easily get a hand on these Su-35s through UAE.

If UAE is indeed buying these jets, then India will have to counter this.

UAE just like all the arab countries is "FEARFUL" of an attack by IRAN! Infact UAE "CLAIMS" two of its islands have been illegally occupied by the IRANIANS!

so yes the US makes the arabs feel that the iranians will attack them....the same fear that US feeds to the japanese & the south koreans that the north koreans would attack!

My own view is that UAE is very Iran friendly but something is happening in UAE .. we don't know time will tell

But they have been offered nuclear technology perhaps the west sees UAE the type of Arabic state model for rest of Middle east , OPEN to all ivestment from out side specially Britain and USA ..

UAE is not Iranian Friendly, only Dubai is.

The other states in UAE are much more fearful of the rising spread of Shia Islam and Iran taking over the Jihad mantra from Sunni Muslims and fuding Shia insurgencies in Yemen and Lebanon.

if you notice all the arab countries are supplied by the US in terms of military hardware & US makes sure the arabs keep fgihting & threatning the Iranians while no one looks toward the Israelis!

Buddy latest version not upto level of su-35. Arabs knew that. If know we compared twin engine su-30mki vs Most F-16 version. Still F-16 couldn't beat su-30mki. While su-35 is alot better then su-30 and an 'inch' better then su-30MKI. So Arabs are after su-35. They having all latest jet fighters may be because they smell war in future and they bit worried. Having latest jet fighters will keep them safe and give them good sleep at night.

Don't be ignorant
The UAE - Iran's bilateral trade = US$ 14 billion
The India - China bilateral trade US$ 45 billion

If one go by bilateral trade there can't be a war between India and China or if we take another example like China - Taiwan because of huge trade volumes.

Also, why Iraq have invaded Kuwait? Both were Arab states.

So get real, stop dreaming. In the end its all about money and personal gains.
