What's new

In 2014, the Russian Air Force will receive 18 Sukhoi Su-34

Then it is made for only 3rd world air defense to handle if it don't have all gizmos of 21st Century. It won't stand against EU countries without heavy escort.
This is a great tactical fighter-bomber.
What does it mean - for the Third World? France and Britain will not buy it. But not because the plane is not good enough, but for other reasons. And for any country not under hard dictate of the U.S. it is just fine.

I think he meant to say that this fighter could be put to use only against third world countries, for they do not have advanced air defense systems.

I do not think that war between industrialized countries is possible. And if it happens - most likely nuclear.
Stealth fighter - very expensive. And they will not be effective against a country like Russia, which has excellent air defense.
Su-34 - a great machine that will be relevant for a couple of decades.

. . .
US use stealth as most important tool against modern air defenses, how a huge RCS bomber can evade a modern air defense, long range radars & AWACS??

Right now this plane is good for after SEAD/DEAD missions and launching Standoff weapons.

I don't think that Su-34 will be going in unaccompanied. In a full blown war (heavens forbid for the sake of humanity) RuAF will be sending PAKFAs as a stealth 'spears' that can blast through the enemy's air cover and use a shock-and-awe style assault. Once the damage is done, this will be followed by the Su-30s and Su-35 BMs that will take on the previous generation fighters while pounding the mickey out of key SAM batteries (BMs can do both at the same time).

Also, MiG-35s and Su-35s will be escorting the Su-34 and once the enemy air cover and air defence is 'softened up', this beast will unleash its payload.

We also need to factor in the Russian AWACS, AE&W and the low altitude gunship assault by a swarm of Mi-28Ns and Ka-52s.

I have said similar before on this thread what you are trying to convey.
