UAE, Pak discuss military issues

Could it be about the POF marketing office that Gen. Omar Hayat is trying to establish? Or it could be about the tacit Yemen coopeartion Pakistan is providing in terms of observers and ammunition

Yes and I think its smart for Pakistan to start aligning itself unless it can benefit diplomatically and militarily by staying non-aligned. I mean if Pakistan gets an opportunity to supply the Gulf militaries with arms and ammo then it would be a big boost to our defense sector and would speed up R&D exponentially for all kinds of stuff.
For that General Bajwa would not have to visit

No, Sir, he did the right thing. Military man has to play FM also. It is the nature of muti-faceted challenges every nation face and articulate a response with the help of think tanks and execute through FO and Defence Dept. None exist in Pakistan at the level to take on the challenge, weakest is FO run by octogenarian Sartaj Aziz. MoD is run by loyalist k asif useless like a flat tire.

Sorry to disagree, there is no way these Arabs will treat you as equal ... every General try to safe his position as adviser in ME armies for future .. need to to do something after Retirement

This was not a friendly meeting. A few things to note: body language. Very cold. Hands together, some folded arms. On all sides. Second the last handshake, COAS holds arm as well. UAE ruler, opens his body, does not close it with COAS, no second arm to reciprocate. And note how he disengages from the COAS, just turns his face away. Meeting was NOT friendly, nor outcome was friendly. UAE is in India bucket and we should just accept those facts, and adjust our policies accordingly.

Dont think he went to invest in personal stocks.
IMO, it looks a damage control meeting.

I dont think UAE showed support after Lahore and Sehwan bombing either. Could not see a thing on islambad embassy web site!!!!
Were it taliban behind bombing in which uae ambassador died and they blame Pak?
Very bad situation for Pak. We need less no of unfriendly countries around our region.

So what do U suggest then??? Let UAE go totally against us while we wait for civilian leadership to do something about that or just leave the turf for others???

UAE knowingly or unknowingly had been playing footsie to indian and afghan terrorist shadow play against Pakistan. Pakistani general most likely conveyed how UAE was and could harm itself. More like a friendly gesture...next action on UAE to show which side they are on.

He is there to ask the name of pakistanies who invested heavily in UAE. Ishaq dar kids owns millions of dollars cars.
There are politicians people from berocracy army who looted money from pak and thinking they will live happily ever after.
It's time to grab them from neck and kick them in jail.

Look deep in PSL, these events generate tons of money. If cricket is back in Pakistan, then guess who will face the financial loss from these mega events. Just one announcement of PSL final in Lahore next day two blast and people died. Why this happened all of sudden .It's not blame game but guess the countries has financial gains from Pakistan instability .. think wisely not emotionally ....

This year Pakistani invest 40 percent less in UAE compared to last many years. Because Baharia projects are killing these real estate investment abroad. Corruption money mainly invested in real estate. UAE govt planned to track down black money invested in real estate and other business . But, seems the new law never been implemented.

Every crook criminal terrorist rebel and money launder has an account in UAE banks and even with evidence they would be slow to act..or will not act at all...especially in cases of Asian countries..but if any western law enforcement was involved..they will be brisk

@Doordie
If Bajwa is on official visit, why isn't he wearing the uniform in the meeting.. I thought it was some minister until I read the details

Brother this is called OWNING THE COUNTRY. Even though this is not his job but due to very busy politicians in them self's, someone have to own the responsibility.
