I can never understand why the regions folks are so afraid of alcohol and night clubs, does having these things mean that less people will believe in Allah. I live in a country where all these things are allowed but have decided not to drink and fornacate .

the main reason for denying all these vices is because people will then listen more to the reason and be less interested in the crazy interpretations from the illiterate clergy. Those who believe in Allah will continue to follow the hud Allah has identified yet we would then expect our scholars and Imam to be more educated changing our society for the better.

sometime i wonder our geat grand fathers and mothers lived in india right ? where alcohol sex and everything was allowed were they less moral then us paksitanis ? from hundreds of years until 1978 are people less muslims here ? i see them more honest religious and good humans then today i go and see a mullah sitting on wholesale shop lying cheating all the day .

My point is slightly different. Most Pakistanis wear their religion on their sleeves but that's where it ends. For some odd reason, they are fine with fighting wars or to talk about wars, but when it comes to welfare or duty towards masses, they are not only an abject failure but make excuses for it too.

As a Muslim, our rulers' duty is not only to avoid alcohol or to restrict prostitution but also to work for the betterment of Pakistanis. But apparently the religion bit ends at wars and banning alcohol. Pakistan banned alcohol in the 70s.. it'd have been a super power by now if it was the reason why Pakistan was not doing better by its people.
