UAE criticises Ahmadinejad visit to Iran's own Persian Gulf island!!

That is how these Wahabis interpret religious texts. Since Abdullah and his monarchy is their leader, they are "ameers". And they blackmail you by bringing out of context twisted Quranic verses to say "If you dont follow your ameer you are a Kuffar". This is how people like Mosamania and others have been bought up.

What are you speaking in my place?? Completely and utterly untrue. But is to be expected by those who refuse to listen or to even make the compromise of hearing the other point of view. Staunchly standing at one end holding an angry grin. Such a thing is not something a self respecting person would do. You see Ibrahim Alyehe Alsalam's story teaches us to be open minded. He worshiped the Moon and the Sun and tried to find the truth everywhere and he was not like his people who refused to even listen to him.

This story teaches us that it is in us where Islam comes and not because we are born into it, but instead it is because we truly believe it. and yet we at the same time will seek more and learn more and take sources of info from everyone and try to look from everyone's point of view.

You liar, what you said in that post does not matter. What matters is what Allah said in his verse. And it has been proven that you tried to twist his verses!

Do you know the punishment of trying to twist Allah's words? Don't worry, I am not Wahabi, I won't bring Quranic verses here to prove you a disbeliever or Kuffar. ;)

I answered you and you refuse to believe me. I guess this makes it your problem them and not mine.

UAE criticises Ahmadinejad visit to disputed Gulf island | Reuters

(Reuters) - The United Arab Emirates criticised Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's visit on Wednesday to a Persian Gulf island claimed by both countries since the 1970s.

"His visit ... is a flagrant violation of the United Arab Emirates' sovereignty over its territory and a transgression of efforts to find a peaceful settlement to end Iranian occupation of the three UAE islands," said Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahayan, cited by state news agency WAM.

The Iranian state news agency IRNA said Ahmadinejad visited Abu Musa island on Wednesday as part of a tour of Iran's Gulf coast, but did not refer to the territorial dispute.

Both countries claim Abu Musa and two other small islands, located near key shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz at the mouth of the Gulf.

The islands have been held by Iran since 1971, shortly before the seven Gulf emirates gained full independence from Britain and formed the UAE.

The UAE has urged Tehran to agree to take the dispute to the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

Iran says its sovereignty over the islands is not negotiable but has called for talks with the UAE to clear up "misunderstandings".

UAE territory violation!Wow these Arabs should be marked as one of the seven wonders of the world.A country that didn't exist before 1971 and was a complete wasteland,is now claiming islands that Iran has owned for 2500 years. You are all a complete joke.

You know a mature and sane person does not have a discussion this way. Please conduct yourself better if you want to be taken seriously. We can all disagree, have aggressive debates, but civility with each other is mandatory on this board.

These shenanigans have gone on for too long now. There was no need to be condescending, you have a political difference, point out your political reasons for the argument of holding the islands.

UAE is a joke. A large shopping mall in middle of desert. The funny thing is that at any given time they have a couple of days of water supply and their entire water almost comes from desalination plants on the shores of the sea which work on natural gas and oil. If Iran hits them with cruise missiles, these guys will die of thirst. Not only that but they have to import all their food too almost all of it through Hormuz which Iran can torpedo. Now ofcourse Iran will not do that, but Iran's answer to these guys should be this:

if-you-want-it.jpg

Non-oil activity does not mean industrial production. It is mostly tourism industry where people from more conservative countries around UAE from Iran to Saudi to Pakistan go there to have fun, sex, alcohol and all kinds of clubs. Plus there is a re-export terminal there, where traders sit amongst the dance clubs doing mostly smuggling business sending stuff eg. Afghan transit that eventually gets smuggled into Pakistan. Nothing to be proud of and certainly nothing that will last when oil runs out and the desalination plats stop working.

What nonsense. The UAE is going through some of its worst economic period in its history. Yet the common man here is in a position to afford more luxuries than say a common person in many western countries would be able to. In its worst period they have still managed to launch the metro system, expand it, launch the water taxis, building nuclear power plants, buy weapons, attract foreign companies, become the regional hub of the MMA, hosted WWE events, one of the premium desert tennis destinations, premium golfing destinations, host 3 intl. class ODI cricket stadiums, hire Maradona, bring in the Trumps, Shakira, Elton John, Eagles, Beyonce, Santana, this artistic list is endless.

So I kid you not, the UAE is a big player, a smart player. It is currently better off than anyone in the region.

It all comes down to the thing that, you gotta live here to acknowledge all that.

But should it be getting involved with being critical of Iran. We know it is doing well but it is in rather a volatile location, I would have thought that discretion is the better part of valour. What do they have to gain by being critical of Iranian president?

. . .
I think that the UAE is in a very volatile area of the world. Property prices have dumped in recent years. can you imagine if a firecracker went off. What would happen. I think they would be well advised to keep a low profile rather than becoming a target for potential conflict on behalf of countries thousands of miles away. Iran is going to be a neighbour no matter what. What is the point of this petty silly gesture

. .
The UAE has also recalled it's ambassador from Iran.

probably been instructed to do so by Americans. After Pakistan closed Shamsi airbase there was a delegation to Pakistan from UAE asking Pakistan to allow America the bases. I really think they should leave these moves to Saudis if any of the GCC are going to play chess with Iran

As per the history of UAE, Iran purchased these island from the ruler of sharjah for 3.6 million dollars and the british approved the deal as UAE was British protectorate back then

I can't understand what their beef is to be honestly other than getting above themselves. I wish Pakistan could escape controversy and these guys are pushing their heads above the parapet when they do not need to maybe they are proving to Americans or Sauds how loyal they are?

The beef is that not only Arabs are well armed but they have got the entire west on their side and pulling the strings while they can. Its very simple, if America was on Iran side they would do the same too.
