U.S. Military Preparing for a Full Withdrawal of Its Forces From Syria

. . . .
Something is not true ..

Right, there is a possibility that Mr. Erdogan has promised the US something related to Iran. If the news are correct, prepare for a change in our relationship. Ironically, even the Russians would want to see you exiting Syria.

This conflict is crazy.

.
It seems positive for Turkey as after a possible operation pkk-pyd elements will be pushed back similar to Afrin. Syrian refugees can be transported back to all those areas for a future election deciding the future of Syria .

However usa withdrawal seemed too easy like a fish bait now. sdf is saying they are backstabbed and possibly will call Syrian forces for protection with some bargaining. If a conflict is planned by usa then both of us will suffer and actually Syria will suffer more. Especially if usa starts bombing campaigns again for whatever excuse or even nato can intervene.
Every actor needs to take steps asking themselves and thinking about the future steps outcomes. What would happen to the heavy weapons given to pyd and it is now very difficult for sdf to prove that they denounced pkk after its active conflicts with Turkey. these issues needs to be taken care of. Jumping in without thinking about possibility of conflct by any actor would risk everyone.

. .
Lets not jump to any conclusion and wait for a while.
The Pentagon has not confirmed yet.

. . .
Hmm this gives russia and iran alot of oppertunity and strength. Turks might try something too but mainly iran and russia are important.

If the PKK tries to deliver to the regime the southern regions which has obtained under the auspices of the US, it will disappear completely within a year. There are also an important opportunity for Turkey , under both conditions.

...It seems that President Donald Trump’s order of the “full” and “rapid” withdrawal of the U.S. military from Syria has the potential of ending the tension between Turkey and the U.S. It will provide a new opening in the region. Although the timing of this order is surprising, the order itself is not.

Trump actually is a very predictable, rational and pragmatic actor, unlike the way the American media portrays him. As a journalist and academic who predicted his election win two years ago from months before, I see that he has been trying to keep his election promises. The nature of his decisions may be controversial and provocative but they are not surprising at all. His promise of building a wall at the Mexican border, his anti-migration rhetoric, his criticism against European countries about their inadequate defense spending, withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal… He mentioned all these plans during his campaign speeches.

His plan of withdrawing troops from Syria is no different. During a televised debate with Hillary Clinton, he had accused her of supporting rebels without actually knowing who they are and hinted that he will not continue this. He talked about ending endless wars.

It seems that during the last two years the president listened to his generals’ objections and now said “that’s enough” after a series of talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He probably concluded that he could establish a rational relationship with Ankara based on mutual interests and ended Obama’s policy. It should be no coincidence that on the same day, the State Department declared the consent of selling Patriot air defense systems to Turkey. These two declarations imply a coordinated decision-making process. Both decisions have strategic meaning for the interests of both countries.

If implemented, the U.S. withdrawal will not end, but limit Turkey’s partnership with Russia at a certain level, and it will provide continuous impact to the U.S. and NATO in the Black Sea, Mediterranean, the Caucasus and in the Middle East by keeping an important ally aside. Otherwise Russia would enjoy the full support of Turkey and project its power in these areas. This could be a major strategic loss for the U.S. in the region since the 1979 Iranian Revolution. By leaving the short-sighted and ideological approach of Obama and his generals at CENTCOM, Trump got closer to his global goals -

.
The key issue that has aroused Trump's squad are US global interests. The most important NATO ally in the Balkans, the Black Sea and the Mediterranean, Africa and Central Asia has experience of working together.

This issue is not only Syria, for example, according to latest news, Russian strategic bombers moved to Venazuela. But at the end of the mistakes made by the US last 5 years, They has lost all influence on Turkey which is the front line of defense during the cold war . In these cases, pressure on Turkey through Syria tools weakened condition. Either they will seek a fair partnership or the Syrian issue will be one of the main factors that undermine the global impact of the US.

Who will save PKK/PYD terrorists against Turkish Army now ? Saudi money ? We will see what will happen in following days...
They are only 2200 , all they need cross Iraq border and go back to there barracks. They can come back whenever they want. But air surveillance will continue.

The Americans will be leaving every conflict they're are embroiled in. I am not surprised why they were so eager to sit with the Taliban in Afghanistan.

The Americans are fatigued and calling it a day. The main losers will be Israel and India. Both rely on US support. One in Afghanistan and the other in the Middle East.
US has 300,000 deployment only Iraq and Afghanistan. Rest no figure yet. Plus, US govt adopt the policy, trained the locals to deal with law and order situation.
Syria is deficit financing, because recovery cost is zero. Syria war suppose to be finance by UAE,Qatar and KSA , they all pull out from there pledges of financial support. Why US should worry.
