You might be right, but this incident will only reinforce taliban recruits to believe what they are doing is correct and just. There is no way you could dispute this.

Do you think we are there to change their minds? No. We are there to teach them a lesson on what happens if you fook with US. Do not bring up who we supported back in the Cold War. These are not the same people. Same religion -- yes -- but not the same people. The Taliban is a bunch of religious savages with just enough sophistication to operate machinery. They will never be able to invent or even innovate anything worthwhile. They have nothing that you and I want. Heck, for all your criticisms of US, you would sooner jump to our side of the fence than theirs.
