There is no doubt that the US has been the leader in innovation for the last 130 years. No one is going to deny that. However, Chinese Americans have also contributed more than their share to America's technological edge today and that is undeniable. In addition, we are talking about the future. While the US still retains significant advantages in many areas of research capabilities and technology, China is becoming a formidable challenger because of a confluence of STEM skills, capital, market forces and infrastructure.
