Two soldiers martyred in terrorist attack from across Afghan border

Since Taliban call TTP our problem then Pakistan should pound those moda fukas and turn them in to pig $hit. Considering International community is withdrawn from Afghanistan pounding TTP hideout in Afghanistan will come with minimum Diplomatic back lash. Enough with this garbage policy of strategic restraint against Afghanis.

If Taliban are okay with Americans striking targets in kabul, they should be okay with us striking our terrorists in Kunar and Nuristan. The only reason Pakistani leadership will not authorise such a strike, is cowardice.

This attack is from across the border, meaning the terrorist just fired from some mountain top on our border post.

Seal the border and let the afghans know that if they don't prevent their anti-Pakistani groups from attacking us, the border will remain indefinitely closed no matter the cost or damage it may cause.

ISIS K or TTP or BLA/BLF ?

surely not the good guys from Afghanistan taliban !
Meanwhile some more Indian Taxpayers investment also went up in smoke.
Just imagine how many Toilets could have been erected.

This is the second incident in which PA soldiers were targeted and martyred by the terrorist from across Afghan border after Afghan Taliban take over.

PA leadership must look into the matter and take concrete preventive actions aggressively.

1. Taliban must be approached to ensure security from Afghan side on top priority.

2. Some sort of SOP should be implemented in which any one approaching towards the border and crosses 0.8 - 1 km barrier must be warned with a warning shot and if the person ignores the warning, then that person should be considered hostile and appropriate action be taken.

3. 24/7 aerial surveillance using drones should be ensured.

4. Mandatory use of MRAP by soldiers while patrolling the border.

Pakistan at this point wants to stablise govt in Afghanistan if possible by a long shot. Bombing Afghan areas at this point will cause an awkward situation even for Taliban. Although at this point we should force taliban either to take care of TTP or have them provide us intelligence so markhors can kill those rodents. Or at the very least disarm TTP if Taliban have some sort of cooperation with these rodents.

I wish this reasoning can be given to the orphan children of our martyred soldiers, and those who are waiting in their border posts to be martyred next.

It seems we don't have any solution for these attacks ...even now they "expect " such things won't happened...why don't we hit them in Afghanistan ?

I have martyrs in my own family. Another cousin who just retired from army lost one leg in Waziristan. No one is saying to spare those moda fukas but there are better ways to do it. TTP has already lost its financial support so they will wither away into smaller groups very soon. Considering that they hide in civilian areas how do you suggest to avoid death of civilians in area. These are very tough decisions and consequences of bombing another country even one like Afghanistan are massive.

The need of the hour is IEA forms a government as soon as possible.

Afghan Taliban are stuck between a hard place and a rock as far as TTP is concerned. They are actively avoiding armed confrontation and only putting pressure with TTP for the fear whatever factions left will join ISKP ( TTP other factions). Afghan Taliban military capability is degraded as a result of their recent offensive ( which they are emerged victories but they lost alot of men and commanders as well ), they forces are actively engaged in Panjshir, actively in war with ISKP, securing country, maintaining law and order, securing kabul Airport and city etc. They can not secure each and every corner of country at least for the time being.

As soon as IEA government is formed Pakistan should enter into a defense pact with them, this will not only strengthen IEA government but also provide them strength militarily. Will also open an opportunity with intelligence sharing, combined operations against the likes of ISKP and even TTP ( the ones that prefer to remain rogue).

Asfar as Pakistan is concerned on this side of border there is no difference between TTP and ISKP, they are both the same and fight under the same flag. In Afghanistan same TTP is divided into 2 groups, one that does not attack Taliban in exchange of being left alone (TTP) and one that does (ISKP). They both attack Pakistan from Afghanistan.

One should not forget that ISKP was formed by TTP factions ( basically who got bought by NDS/Raw etc) as a direct opponent of Taliban.

The fact is that the real nature of relations between Afghan Taliban and Pakistan are not clear at all yet and it would take some time for this to happen. It may be that the support of Afghan Taliban, by Pakistan, was merely to side with "a lesser evil" option. Pakistan's emphasis on an "inclusive" government in Afghanistan indicates this aspect.

I agree. There is no reason to actively antagonise the new incoming government in Afghanistan. If you do not develop an understanding with them no amount of bombing will solve the problem.

The problem IEA is having is not the lack of intention but military capacity limitations.

As soon as IEA forms government we should aim for a defense pact, if not that joint intelligence sharing and operations command should be the goal.
