Two soldiers martyred in terrorist attack from across Afghan border

Two soldiers of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom on Sunday after terrorists from inside Afghanistan opened fire across the international border on a military post in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Bajaur district, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

The military's media wing said that the army troops responded in a befitting manner. "As per intelligence reports, due to fire of Pakistani troops, two to three terrorists were killed while three to four pthers sustained injuries," the statement added.

It said that during the exchange of fire, 28-year-old Sepoy Jamal from Mardan and 21-year-old Sepoy Ayaz from Chitral embraced martyrdom.

"Pakistan strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan and expects that existing and future setup in Afghanistan will not allow such activities against Pakistan," ISPR further said.

Earlier, during an interview with a private news channel, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid had reiterated his group's stance that Afghanistan's soil will not be used against any country.

“Our stance is that the Afghan soil will not be used by anyone to destroy the peace of another country,” he maintained, adding that if the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) considered the Taliban their leaders they would follow their orders.

He said that the issue of the TTP is not for Afghanistan to resolve but must be solved by the Pakistani government. “It is dependent upon Pakistan, and Pakistani ulema, not the Taliban, to decide whether or not the TTP’s war is legitimate and to formulate a strategy in response,” Mujahid stated.

In a similar attack in June, two soldiers embraced martyrdom after terrorists opened fire from Afghanistan across the international border on a military post in Dwatoi in North Waziristan district.

During the exchange of fire, 43-year-old Havaldar Saleem and 35-year-old Lance Naik Pervaiz embraced martyrdom, the ISPR's statement read.

are the FC troops wearing Kevlar ?

Also, the second phase of putting CCTV cameras on afghan pakistan fence have started.

If Pakistan had been responding in kind and attacking NDS and ANA and Indians inside their territory for each loss of Pakistani life, the situation would have never come to this.
Bajwa is a disaster for Pakistan, like Kiyani was.

Same goes on diplomacy front, even small countries like UAE threaten Pakistan on regular basis, when are we going to stand up and be counted!!

Meanwhile some more Indian Taxpayers investment also went up in smoke.
Just imagine how many Toilets could have been erected.
The trouble with the Afghan Taliban is that they're too decentralized, ZERO chain of command.

At this stage, doesn't even have to be a rogue 'commander' (a person with significant no of fighters)

any rogue trooper high on emotion can wanton gun down anyone.. no accountability up the chain, Baradar will quickly wash his hands of this and nobody will hold him to account.

that's THE main problem dealing with a group like this Pak will have to deal with

will they ever be capable of forming into a cohesive unit to fight for their country ? no...

"rogue" terror groups will flourish

Pak made a very bad deal here imo

At least some terrorists have been killed in response.
US/Afghan forces used to kill "at least some" Taliban each month. They did this for nearly 20-years and then ran away in the most humiliating manner possible.

Will that also be the fate of Pakistan Army because I don't see them doing any better than the US/Afghan Army?

I mean what is the end game here?

Stop this bull sh*t,
Northern Alliance is active only in Panjshir is now surrounded by Talib.

Just like I said.. Remember tonight's drone strike on a car near the Kabul airport? Well guess what it was a Panjshir family house? Never ever doubt what desparate people will attempt or how far they will go to change ground realities..

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

when are we going to stand up and be counted!!

When we will come out of “mental slavery of gori chamri” …

When we realize that engraze is NOT superior than us; we have ourselves to blame of most of our issues …

When we realize that we need to be United above zaat, paat, biradery, zubaan etc … in short when there is no “Tazaad between our qol or fail”

It feels like 2 types of people have completely lost it since US defeat in Afghanistan...

1 libtards who rather have an Indian proxy running Afghanistan rather a friendly Muslim govt

2 closet terrorists.... Who are the other extreme...

Let taliban control Kabul first. They will full fill their promises as they and ispr has repeatedly said or we have alot of options as well... Which for closet terrorists you would regret if we are forced to explore

Be realistic... Let students get control first than we will see

Every thread is becoming a constant barrage of propoganda from above 2 groups

Is there a time frame for the R&AW funding to dry up? You can blame them for so long before reality catch up.

Have you ever wondered, regular army soldiers go to their barracks at the end of their duty, where they have their living quarters, canteens and all other utilities.....there are others who simply go home at the end of their shift. All the serving soldiers, hundred thousands and more are registered with their rank and file and are paid accordingly every week or month.
Now tell me how do you think these Rag Tag Talibans function, they for example have descended into Kabul from all over the country, how and where they get accommodated, fed and paid. To me the way it looks that anyone with a beard and turban and carrying an AK-47 can claim to be a Taliban....but somehow that doesn't seem to be the case, crazy as it may sound, there's a chain of command and the system seems to be functioning in such way that even US had to acknowledge and play ball.

The way Indian media and TTs and politicians are crying, complaining and making suggestion, it leaves little to imagination.

Who cares. These soldiers are cannon fodder and we pay them to die unnecessarily.
Let's talk about Imran khan marriages or Nawaz Sharif platelets.
