NEW DELHI: Two jawans were martyred after Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Wednesday, reported Times Now.
The incident comes a day after security forces cornered three Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists in central Kashmir's Budgam district. All three terrorists were killed on Wednesday in a long drawn out gun fight with security personnel.
On Wednesday, Pakistan Army had violated the ceasefire in Poonch district, targeting villages and forward posts along the LoC with mortars and small arms fire.
There have been 23 incidents of ceasefire violation, one BAT attack and two infiltration bids by Pakistan in June in which four people, including three jawans, were killed and 12 injured.
