INFLUENCING THE ARAB CURRICULUMS By

Uzun yaşamak Türkiye ve Uzun yaşamak Pakistan!
On 16th of October, the Turkish Prime Minster went to the Turkish nation and asked them when we needed them, the Pakistani Muslims were there for the Ottoman khilafat, today your brothers and sisters need you in their hour or need. From across the great nation of Turkey, school girls, and old men, student and professionals gave and gave and gave. One girl in New Jersey collect $1500 on her own and then brought us the money.
Schools across Turkey collected, not thousands, but millions of Dollars for their Pakistani brethren. Turkey became the largest donor for the Earthquake relief for Pakistan. Long Live Pakistan Turki dosti!
No Pakistan will ever forget the help during the earthquake. Pakistanis have not said Thank you enough number of times. Every Pakistan has not said thank you, but it is in the heart.
Tashakkur! Shurkiray. Meherbani. Nawazish. Karam
Turks love Pakistanis like no other nation. Whether you are walking in the streets of Istanbul or relaxing in Antalya or listening to the mehfil e sama in Konyaif they find out that you are a Pakistani, they will always go out of their way to help and assist you. This author was dragged out of restaurents from Turks who wanted to take us to their home, or pay for our meals, spray perfume on the ladies or simply walk over the say kardesh (brother). The Turks take thier index fingers of both hands and rub them togetherwhich means brothers.
Turkey established diplomatic relations soon after the independence of Pakistan in 1947 and bilateral relations became increasingly close important owing to cultural, religious and geopolitical links between the two countries. Turkey and Pakistan are founding members of the Economic Cooperation Organization(formerly the RCD) and part of the Developing 8 Countries (D-8) organization.
Turkey under the new goverment is building economic ties with Pakistan, so that it can create a strong ECO and that the bonds of friendship are stronger.. Both nations have worked to negotiate a preferential trading agreement, aiming to considerably increase trade and investments, especially in transport, telecommunications, manufacturing, tourism and other industries. Both governments have sought to increase the volume of bilateral trade from $690 million to more than $1 billion by 2010. A $20 Billion train linelinking Islamabad to Istanbul is being built at a cost of $20 billion. This rail network will further consolidate the neural network between Pakistanis and Turks. Turkey launched a trilateral summit process between the two states and Afghanistan in February 2007 which culiminated in Feb 2010 in the inclusion of Bharat from making decision in Afghanistan
I have always wondered why Turkish Muslims are so pro-Pakistani while Egyptian and Palestinian Muslims are not as devoted and loyal. Of course many Eghytians and Palestinians will dispute this generalization.
Pakistan has been one of the biggest supporters of Palestine. In 1947, Pakistan wrote all the UN resolutions when very few of the Arab countries were independent. The Palestinain cause has been near and dear to Pakistanis. Black September has little bearing on the current Palestinian-Pakistani relation, just like the tiff between the PFLP, Hamas and the PLO does not change the realities of the Palestinian cause. Bharat too was a great supporter of the Palestinians till the U-Turn during the Vaypayee Administration.
30% to 40% of Palestinians are educated in Pakistan on free scholarships. Every University of Pakistan and the Armed Forces Academies have Palestinians in them. We have never seen any belligerency from Palestinians towards Pakistanisever.
There are other reasons mostly dealing with Syed Qutub, Hasan Banna, Maluna Moudoodi and the current governments in Cario and Islambad.
Of course the Hasni Mubarak dynesty is hated by the people of Egypt and once there is a representative government in Qahira, there will be a sea change. There are strong links between the people of Misir and Pakistan. Once the people of Egypty are allowed to participate in the election they will rule Qahira, and the Egyptian people will finally get a true sense of history other than what is doled out by the Nasserites. Many believe that the Ikhwan Ul Muslimeen will win the elections if fair elections are held in Egypt.
The major reason for this confusion in the minds of the Socialist Pan-Arabist was germinated during the time of Gamal Abdul Nasser. The Nasir-Nehru-Titu nexus was the harbinger of the flag-bearers of socialism. Nasser wanted to lead he Arab world and the third world. Pakistan at the time was part of the rival Baghdad pact that later grew into SEATO and CENTO.
The main reason for lack Egyptian fidelity towards Pakistan is lack of historical knowledge about Pakistan. Egyptian children grow up on the Nehru Gandhi candy and never have understood the raison detre of Pakistan. Arab curriculums therefore reflect the thinking that Pakistan is a reactionary state and does not touch upon the generations old brotherhood that exists. This is what the students learn and this is what the Egyptians think. This is then reflected in Egyptian foreign policy. Grass-root changes in Egyptian and Palestinian thinking towards Pakistan can only take place if the government of Pakistan creates Pakistan Cultural Centers in Cairo and Gaza , but also in Riyadh, Tripoli, and in Dubai
