Turkish TAI TF-X in line with what PAF wants: PAC Kamra Chairman Air Marshal

Pardon to interrupt Your enthusiasm; I'm still sceptical since even a great achievement, a helicopter turboshaft is far from a fifth generation turbofan.

Technology of the gas turbine engine will form the basis for the engine needed for the national Fighter Jet TFX

in 2018 TRMOTOR has signed an agreement to develop turbofan engine for TF-X project

btw 7 TFX prototypes will use GE-F110 Engine

and no any cooperation with RR to develop engine because of RR doesnt want to give IP rights to Turkey and TRMOTOR will develop national turbofan engine

Thanks but again this raises the question, how will Turkey develop a fifth generation engine based on an engine that is already several decades old and if RR was not willing to guarantee IP, what about an US-based engine in mind of the current Turkish-US relations?

Toa admit ... all I see are problems, insurmountable problems Turkey could neither solve alone, nor in the given timeframe or without political changes.

But we'll see.

Turkey doesnt need Pakistan or any muslim country for Turkish military projects , they have no technology to help Turkey

sooner or later Turkey will develop TFX Fighter Jet , ATAK-II heavy Attack Helicopter , TF-2000 class AAW Destroyer , MILDEN class AIP Submarine , HISAR and G-40 and SIPER and GUMS Air Defense Systems , GaN based AESA Radars , Airborne stand off Jammer , Turboshaft - Turbofan Engines , Aircraft Carrier , high energy LASER Weapon , hypersonic Electromagnetic Rail Gun and many more high tech NATO standart weapons

and other muslim countries will keep depending on the US or China or Russia

Turkey could solve problems for Turbojet , Turboprob and Turboshaft engines for Cruise Missiles , UAV-UCAVs and Helicopters

-- KALE KTJ3200 Turbojet engine for SOM and ATMACA Cruise Missiles
-- TEI PD-170 , PD-220 , PD-550 Turboprob engines for ANKA , AKSUNGUR and AKINCI UCAVs
-- TEI TS-1400 Turboshaft Engine for T-129 Attack and T-625 Utility Helicopters and HURKUS trainer-light attack Aircraft

also Turkey to develop new engines for GEZGIN land-naval based Cruise Missile , MIUS stealth UCAV , ATAK-2 heavy Attack Helicopter and 12 tons class Utility Helicopter

and Turkey can develop turbofan engine in 10-12 years ..... and in 2018 TRMOTOR has signed an agreement to develop turbofan engine for TF-X project ..... ( the US or anyone are nothing to do with Turkish turbofan engine project)

Turkish turbofan engine project

btw still American GE F110-132 Engine superior to Russian and Chinese Engines

Pakistan will not do a joint venture.

What Pakistan wants to do is redesign (or even reverse engineer) the J-31 in-house and build it in-house as per Pakistani requirements. Of course, there's no doubt Pakistan would appreciate Chinese co-operation on this and where necessary (like wind tunnel tests), ask the Chinese for help.

Pakistan building the FGF as much as it possibly can by itself is what Project Azm is all about.

Hi,

And that is where the deception lies " Pakistan will not do a joint venture "---.

Coming out of an extremely successful JV and not doing another one with the same vendor---reeks of deception and deceit---.

Not really. Pakistan is just attempting to be independent and self reliant. If you don't try, you won't learn and you must start from somewhere.

All I see is further evolution in Pakistani R&D department from the JF-17 Thunder program. One is a joint venture and the other is primarily a Pakistani venture running paralell with one another.

And please stop looking at this with corrupt DRDO goggles.

yes we will wait and see

you should watch this video between 2:23 and 9:12

in IDEF-2019 TEMEL KOTIL ( President and CEO of Turkish Aerospace Industries ) said that TFX will be designed on GE-F110 Engine ..... Turkish Airforrce F-16s uses GE-F110 Engine also Turkey produced under license GE turbofan engines for decade and Turkey can develop engine similar to GE-F110 Engine

and in 2018 TRMOTOR has signed an agreement to develop turbofan engine for TF-X project

btw Turkish KALE AERO and British ROLLS ROYCE wanted working on development turbofan engine for TF-X project
Do the Turk make or assemble GE F110? If they have materials and blade design tech sorted and now with 3D printers anything is possible

Hi,

That is not a good example---. This is the time for shared technologies---.

There were a lots of faults in the JF17 venture---. They came out due to JV.

Any faults in program AZM will be hidden and the nation will be totally deceived---.

All the failures will be pakistan's own and pakistan will bear the total loss.

The JF17 ended up successful---because it was JV---.

With all the failures of getting the french ew package and engine etc---the chinese stepped upto the plate to make it a success---.

So---if after all that china has done---to take them out of the loop is being deceitful---.

you are right
Turkey is way ahead of rest of Muslim countries in terms of military technology (conventional)
maybe Pakistan is somewhere close with some experience in missiles
Pakistan has nothing to offer

so joint venture is only possible if there is sizable investment if there is no technical assistance to offer

wow impressive Pakistani mind

back stab and deceit of a friend. reverse engineer and steal the technology of your only ally and make a rip off of your own? I hope Chinese don't see such danger and refuse to sell us J 31 which they see as a potential money maker in future international sales to those customers who cant buy F 35 due to financial or political reasons.

Just like the above news, no doubt Pakistan will be sharing information with others and reviewing what others are doing. It's taken Pakistan over two years just studying what sort of aircraft Pakistan wants and what Pakistan needs.

The whole point of Project Azm is that it will be pure Pakistani or Pakistani as much as possible.

I knew in politics it is seen as an achievement to lie and deceive and turn on your words but clearly its not confined to politics backstabbing stealing from your trusting friend is also seen as a fair game
am I thick and stupid to see it morally wrong to copy a technology of my friend and then compete him in the international market ?

The only potential customer for J-31 was/is still Pakistan. If they can't export the aircraft, maybe they'll be willing to sell the research/tech to Pakistan.

.
if they are showing interest then it means they are serious . few days back former COAS sid that Pakistan developed The design of the jet and in this tweet he says that Pakistan is studying this project for two years
and remember in last year Turkey offer Pakistan to join TFX project @Maxpane

Hi,

It really baffles my mind as to what the Paf heirarchy's thinking is---.

Turkey is under fear of sanctions---it already has some sanctions.

The helicopter deal is is dis-array---.

How can Paf bet on an aircraft that is just on the paper---rather than one that is flying---.

If Paf really wants a single engine aircraft---it's JV with the chinese should be the first priority---.

I believe that the Paf is back to its age old game of deceiving pakistan---.

On the engine issue---pakistan has been hit real hard regarding the JF17---. The Turkish experiment would be a similar mistake but with serious repercussions---.
Turkish national anthem starts with the words - Fear not.....

Fear is no policy, surrender is no option....

Hi,

I understand that part---. But we have suffered a lot due to sanctions---.

This setback on the helicopter engine is another major problem---.

Can't let that happen to the 5th gen aircraft---.
