Turkish short range air to air missile test

Bozdoğan WVR and Gökdoğan BVR missiles at trials on F-16. Those missiles will cause a big trouble for enemies in Aegean and E. Med. Bozdoğan with national TVC control is highly maneuvrable missile which is going to make very sharp maneouvrings to chase the targets locating opposite side of airborne radar’s sight angle.

1- No press release yet. A short-range A-A missile with an IIR seeker.
2- Göktuğ Bozdoğan WVR missile with IIR seeker
3- Göktuğ BVR missile with radar homing

These are Tubitak's anti-air group. There is also the group of Aselsan which is called as Hisar. https://www.savunmasanayist.com/porsav-cok-alcak-irtifa-hava-savunma-fuzesi/

I have been wondering, wouldn't it be possible for a certain country to reverse engineer Sidewinder with new seeker, and electronics? Wouldn't it be much cheaper than making a missile from scratch?

You could reuse rear fins, rocket motor, and warhead but it would need new seeker, fins, and fuzing.

Half of this stuff can be bought of Ebay.

And there you go again trying to derail a good thread, and trying to bring UAE (again) in a Turkish Military related thread. .... Fantastic.

When i see number1 missile first time, i thought it is aim9X(bad mockup) but it looks different than that . it differs from seeker to TVC . do you have info about it? is it a new missile?

HOBS?

Goktug-Bozdogan missiles will have a high resolution dual colour imaging infra-red seeker, with a comprehensive off-boresight capability, along with advanced counter-measures.

I also want to add this old news:
IDEF 2017: TWO NEW AIR-TO-AIR MISSILES REVEALED
Two new air to air missiles (AAMs) were unveiled on the first day of IDEF in Istanbul, Turkey. The exhibition which is taking place from May 9-12 is seeing unprecedented policing, due to the security situation in the country.

Almost immediately after the 11am opening ceremony, Turkey’s Prime Minister, Binali Yildirim visited the Tubitak SAGE (Defence Industry Research and Development Institute) to unveil the Peregrin Within Visual Range (WVR) and Merlin Beyond Visual Range AAMs.

They are first the such weapons to be developed by Turkish industry, as it works to fulfil all the indigenous needs for the Turkish fighter (TF-X) programme, well into the next decade. Both missiles have been undergoing development since 2012, under Project Goktug, according to the Turbitak Director, Erdal Cakmak. He indicated that both missiles should be integrated and test fired within the next two years.

Because, these missiles were introduced in 2017. Most people were notified of these projects for the first time at IDEF17. So many people are questioning how Turks can do A2A in two years without any delay. However, the contract work for the project was completed in 2012, and feasibility studies are much older than official start. The reason of this example is to help you understand the logic of the project execution of the Turks. It is very difficult to understand the depth of expertise of the Turkish defense industry using only open intelligence.

Pakistan should use them on jf17 block 3.
It will be great for Pakistani F-16's... Thats for sure. Afterall US sold you AMRAAM with limited numbers... About JF17, You need China's permission for that.

Can PAF F16 use AIM9X? Does PAF have aim9x? Helmet cueing system? if so they can easily deploy Turkish Gokdogan.

i am not sure if US would allow that, with jf17 we have free hand.
