Visa free for both ways , Fully free trade etc and most importantly i think we should do like a Joint military equipment like jet or something , or civilian aircraft , GCC members , Turkiye , Azerbaijan together

Now you will see very intense defense cooperation between Turkey and GCC both in Military training and in defense manufacturing manufacturing and after few years Pakistan and Indonesia will also be clubbed in the same league.

just of curiousity, won't it be hard to controll the amount of Turkish citizens that will come to Saudi for hajj then? i mean how do you work this out in GCC? is it different during hajj time? where you have to get visa to come or can they just come if they want. that seems a bit unfair for people that comes from far away if that is like that. every country has a said amount of people it can send every year or so right.. so if Turkey has X amount and some visa free UAE citizens come then we will have less people we can send.

You need a Hajj license to go to Hajj even for Saudi citizens. So maybe you will have a lot of angry Turkish citizens in Mikat along with Saudi citizens who are denied entry to Makkah .

Yeah if you are wearing Ihram and you don't have a Hajj license you will be stopped. This measure is taken so Haram is not over flowing since it has a certain capacity it can withstand or it will go out of control in there.

Qatar is Looking Forward to Further Cooperation in Various Fields

Defence Turkey. Milgem is an important milestone in Turkish naval capabilities and technology. Within the gained expertise, Turkish RMK, Aselsan, Havelsan and STM industrial team is interested in C-1600 corvette for the Qatari naval forces requirements. How do you assess Turkey’s presence and position in this program?

After watching the ship corvette type (Milgem) with my friend, Deputy Turkish Defense Minister Mr. Kemal Yardımcı , I have directed the head committee of the navy projects to engage the Turkish company (RMK) in the project (corvette) as a competitor that provides its technical presentation and this project is still under study .


Defence Turkey: Yonca- Onuk has recently signed a contract to deliver t3 Onuk MRTP34 fast patrol/attack crafts and 3 Onuk MRTP16 fast intervention crafts to the Qatar Armed Forces. Could you please enlighten us about the program being carried out with Yonca- Onuk?

Yes, we have signed a contract to procure six (6) of the boats of the company (Yonca- Onuk). Those boats will be received at the beginning of the year 2013 and we look forward to purchasing more of those types in the future.

Defence Turkey: Qatar and Havelsan have been negotiating on AW 139 simulators. How do you assess the activities and negotiations on this regard?

Yes, we had talks with the Turkish company Havelsan on the simulators AW139 and we have almost finished all of the details and are in the final stages of signing a contract with the company.

Defence Turkey: TAI has strengthened its position by indigenous UAV Anka and Atak helicopter. How do you assess Anka and Atak and opportunities in this regard?

Since the announcement of this aircraft by TAI company, we have been interested in and also followed the developments regarding the production of this aircraft and we have been waiting for the final declaration of its entry into service.

Defence Turkey: Recently, it is known that Dearsan’s Diving Support Vessels attracted the interest of Qatari navy. What are the activities and the status of the negotiations for this vessel?

We received a technical offer of the company (DEARSAN) about the Turkish diving boat, this project is among the future projects of naval forces, and the committee is currently studying and evaluating that offer.

Defence Turkey: Mini UAV agreement signed between Turkish Kale-Baykar and Qatar. Could you please inform us about the developments in this project?

With respect to Mini UAV that has been purchased from the Turkish company Kale- Baykar, I would like to inform that the Qatari Armed Forces have received this aircraft and it is currently in service.

To me, Turkey, Saudi arabia and gulf countries even remained veryy late to coperate with each other in military and sivil industry..both sides have significant advantages...KSA and gulf countries have huge enregy reserve, rich private and state financial fonds...They are keen to invest on many profitables field of economy..

Turkish companies and banks have lack of capital..So they borrows tens billions dollar or euro each year fromUS and EU banks to commpensate investments.. 65% foreign dept of Turkey is private...it is about 220 billions USD...

Arab armies , private enteprenuers, companies could set up partnership with Turksih counterparts in military and sivil industry and technology and also agricultural, food industry...

For exe.Turkey has wide and edaquet infrastructure of auto industry and bigest auto part supplier of EU countries...Many auoto makers have factories in turkey...But we dont have any domestic auto brand yet....30 years ago Turkey was more advanced than s.korea in auto industry..and in 90s years ASELSAN(company of Military electronic industry and tech.) had produced cellular phones...But if you dont have long term strategy it is useless whatever you could produce..

if adequate capital to be financed Turkish companies could make %100 domestic car within 2-3 years..
