Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

BREAKING!

In retaliation of Russia's airstrikes on Al-Bab, TuAF launched drone strikes on joint YPG-Russian positions in North-eastern Syria. As a result, several YPG members were killed, while 2 Russian soldiers were injured. Turkey continued with hitting Tal-Rifat and Saraqib with artillery.

Seems like Turkey really gave Assad and Putin the middle finger this time. :turkey:

I would add another reason plus:
Turkey doesn’t want NEW(ONE SIDED without turkish green light) russian base in pkk-occupied city next to SE borders
Helicopters base in Qamisli was part of the deal for two reasons:the city itself is assad stronghold in NE Syria so TAF hoped for possible american(&pkk) versus russian(&assad) confrontation(successfully achieved)
The second reason(not so important as the first) was russian request for their own air patrol in NE Syria(sometimes russian helis do the escort during joint patrols)

Turkish UCAV hit Russian communication center in darbasiyah. 2 Russian soldiers were injured. ınjured soldiers were brought to Khabat Farhan Hospital.

They were using Derbesiye as a intelligence center for pkk. Finally, some bombs found its place.

There have been dozens of attacks with DIY kamikaze drones made by rebels for example on hmeini airbase over the years.

These twitter posts are rather aimed to rile up trolls etc.

It would be easy to determine. As seen in Libya. Left over parts.

. .
I only post an update when several independent and trustworthy OSINT sources report it.

This is obviously not a DIY incident.

"Independent and trustworthy OSINT sources"

So why not share them instead of these random twitter accounts known for sharing nonsense?

Mind telling why it‘s obviously not a DIY kamikaze drone? These have already claimed casualties for the Russians.

There has never been a case of the Turkish army directly targeting Russian servicemen, it‘s not the TSK‘s style.

edit: Thinking about it again, the location is weird for a rebel DIY.
