Moreover hating america doesn't necessarily mean going to war with it, constantly trying to lower your dependency on them. That's a good enough outcome. You're conflating the strategic mistakes of the ottoman emperors as if it's a result of the public opinion.

Meanwhile HTS is getting their asses kicked in Idlib from some slightly less Islamists. So good news overall for Turkey and Syria too. If you noticed they have liberated the areas close to Afrin and the Turkish border, it seems like it is somewhat in coordination with TAF and the bases there.

Saa is supporting YPG not cutting the supply line or even giving it to Assad would make all the efforts in Afrin useless.
