Difference in Iraq and Syria, in Iraq Turkey supports Kurds, in Syria they're against them.

The Syrian gov is still against giving Kurds autonomy in Syria. If it were to fall the replacement would be an inclusive/democratic/federal.. regime granting Kurds autonomy in Syria. Only thing that might stop the YPG is for neighbors to stop fueling the opposition fighting the SAA and return friendly ties with the Syrian gov.

Turkey is not against Kurds - they are against the PKK and their affiliates.
Look how much help the Turks are giving to the Kurds, both in Iraq and Syria. When Saddam attacked the Kurds with chemical weapons, Turkey opened its borders and gave aid and refuge to escaping Kurds.
And when it comes to Syria; do you think that all the refugees that have come to Turkey are Arab? No, there are thousands of Kurds, many of whom have family ties to Turkish citizens.
Turks are not against Kurds per se, they are against any political formation that might form a threat to Turkey.

We support Barzani in Iraq, because they don't supports PKK Terrorists. We are against PKK terrorists in Iraq.

That is the right time to push for Al-Bab. YPG is largely busy with Raqqa. It will boost prestige and justification to say "we will deliver blows from two sides by pushing for Al-Bab while the Raqqa is under siege" Nobody would give shit if a few hundred Turkish soldiers are involved as eyes are on Raqqa and Mosul right now. But assurances about not getting anywhere near to Aleppo should be given to Russia.

I hope they dont stupidly push againts Manbij or Afrin right now as it will make us look like we are supporting ISIS.
