(DZKK OFFICAL RELEASE)
Information Note
Date: 03 September 2018
No: BN-1430/2018

1. Pakistani Naval Forces, requested assistance from Turkish Naval Forces for the recovery of 3 personnel and a military helicopter, reported to have crashed on the 2nd of September 2018.

2. Turkish Naval Forces have rapidly responded to friend and brotherly nation Pakistan's call by deploying its underwater search and rescue capabilities on scene compromising of a Search & Rescue Team consisting of 25 personnel and AUVs (autonomous underwater vehicle) via an Air Force A-400M.

I think they sent 1st class divers of Rescue Group Command of DZKK, stationed in Istanbul. I know it might be late but my prayers are with the sailors and their families.

Recovery operation to retrieve the bodies and possibly the wreckage of the helicopter. You don't any stone unturned to recover your soldiers and bring their bodies home. Proud Pakistan is doing its utmost and is not shy in asking for help.

yeah I got that. I thought we already have the bodies with us. So this is precisely why we declared one death so far while 3 bodies as of now are unaccounted for.

Btw with having a reasonable coast line and Navy, why don't we have such capability to carry out such missions ourselves?

Just showcases a weakness in our own capabilities as well we can't even do a search and rescue of helicopter body in our own ocean

I remember another story where a JF17 was lost over sea , and there was a delayed rescue or something along the lines which showed we lacked coast guard / search and rescue at sea capabilities or the efficiency was lacking

In recent years we have grown our fleet of coast guard ship so some progress is being made in that regards

.
Depends on the depth of the ocean floor where the crashed aircraft might have sunk down to. This might just be to get help in locating the wreckage. Most countries in the world don't have the capabilities required for such salvage operations. Lets see what comes of it and hopefully they can at least retrieve the bodies if not the aircraft.
