That sucks. I imagine there were hundreds of thousands of people all over the Straits,gathered to watch.

I would prefer the chief of the general staff and high ranking admirals to be on the TCG Anadolu and for her to stay stationary as other ships form a line and salute as they get past her.

I think that would be nicer.

The entire fleet was not in the parade. In other words, not all combat platforms were together, some frigates and corvettes were in the Mediterranean and other regions, both within NATO missions and planned missions.

This actually makes the parade more interesting because, apart from centenary celebration, this parade also gave a message about the combat readiness rate of the Turkish navy.

I mean, a navy parade of 100 ships in two or three rows in such a narrow waterway is not something that every navy in the world can do, at least for navies that are not in an active war.

The Turkish navy showed that it was not keeping any ships in reserve, but ready with all its elements when given the task.

A lot of symbolology was used (for example, passing of Nusret minelayer ship) during the parade and many other messages were given. Without going into these details, I would just like to say that the friendship of the Turkish state is valuable, should not be enemies.
