Is it instructive for Turkish VLS and G40?

STM does bulk of construction work
And asfat along with others will do weapons/sensor integration???
Pendik Naval Shipyard (part of ASFAT):
-conceptual-preliminary design
-construction planning
-advanced simulations (in collaboration with institutions/private companies or alone)
-construction

STM:
-Contracts (the reason why they are often referred as main contractor).
-Detail design (with other subcontractors ie. private ship-design companies)
-Integration of the independent work packages
-construction plans -prints (with other subcontractors)
-Budget management

Integration of systems are handled by both parties at different levels, ie. Naval shipyard handles physical integration, Havelsan or STM does software level integration or contracts companies to do these.
For foreigner components, STM contracts the supplier and handles the integration procedures.

We cant break down thousand of components in details here, but coarsely it is as mentioned. However, not referred parties can take place in some of the work packages which they were mentioned within. ie. STM may take place in some part of preliminary design, while Naval shipyard is taking place in some parts of detail design.

now I would like to see more

a second LHD + 2 x LST

it would give Turkish forces 2 x LHD + 4 x LST + 7 x LCT, a very good amphibious assault force

speeding up of the Istanbul class programme and bringing forward the TF2000 programme as well as the Reis SSK programme

if they can get the first MILDEM SSK before 2030 it would be great

Turkey should start pumping billions into the defence sector the results will not bring home built equipment but also billions from export as Turkey already has some good clients
