What's new

Turkish Missile Programs

Turkish Air Force has preference to work with Tübitak-Sage. Examples are HGK, LGK, KGK, NEB and SOM. Among them SOM is produced by Roketsan. So AAM's will come from Sage.

But Sage works together with ROKETSAN...

.
Guys just guess...

What can be these 'multiple' projects ?..

Just throw it...

. .
For projects which was commenced by SAGE:
-SAGE develops, Roketsan/Aselsan produces...

-Cirit developed by SAGE/Roketsan, produced by Roketsan
-SOM cruise missile, HGK family, KGK family, DMT family, NEB family all developed by SAGE;
-Gezgin family land/ship to land cruise missiles are being developed by SAGE.
-HGK Technology transfered to Aselsan
-SOM technology transfered to Roketsan.
-Gezgin technology will be transfered to Roketsan.
-KGK technology will transfered to Aselsan as well.
-NEB core penetrator head will be transfered to MKE (Most probably)
-LGB+ kits belongs to Aselsan
-LGK family kits belongs to Roketsan
-Atmaca project commenced by Roketsan
-Akya project commenced by Roketsan with many subcontactors.
-Mizrak family, future variants developed/to be developed by Roketsan
-Mizrak system/subsystem based AG missile Roketsan
-Two AA missile projects belongs to Tubitak SAGE,
-Artillery rockets/Guided variants belongs to Roketsan,
-Ballistic missile family belongs to Roketsan,
-Miniature bomb project belongs to SAGE
-Mini smart bomb belongs to Roketsan
-Hisar missile SAM family: Main contactor of all system: Aselsan, Visible developer of missiles: Roketsan, Background supporters: SAGE/Aselsan
-Manpad SAM: Roketsan
.

.

The Sage projects are mostly seperated like;

Precision guided missile technologies are transfered to Roketsan.
Free fall different kind of guidance kit bomb technologies are mostly transfered to Aselsan.

I saw 2 AA missiles and ballistic missile FAMILY (Ok there is YILDIRIM with some variants but i'm sure this 'FAMILY' means much more) between lines... And also i saw some dots at the end... :D

Updated list of Roketsan Air to Ground Anti-Tank/Personnel family will be as following...

Mizrak-D2: ~30km
Mizrak-D1: 17+km (Spike NLOS equivalent)
Mizrak-U: 8km (Mızrak-UIIR and Mızrak-UL)
Mizrak-O: 4km
Roketsan-SAAB AT missile: 3km
Mizrak-TEKHAT: 1km
Cirit Semi active lazer missile: 8km

Mizrak-D2 naval variant will be Penguin equivalent (Under consideration phase, not certain at present)
Mizrak-D2 A/G variant will be Maverick and JAGM like strategic missile family equivalents.
Mizrak-D1 naval variant will be ship/helo based long range precision guided missile
Mizrak-D1 land variant will be vehicle mounted long range NLOS equivalent.

Which one is FGM 148 Javelin equivalent?

@cabatli_53 some Pakistani friends claimed that SOM and many other missiles have been 'produced' by Pakistani tech transfer.

How much is true? I just don't want the hard work of Turkish engineers to be labelled as a tech transfer....

My brother even if we supply a little screw that little contribution in Turkey becoming a power.

Not for precision guided missiles bro. The maturity level Turkish industry reached in that area, can be compared with very few countries around the World. At present, I think Brother Pakistan doesn't have such big family of equivalent products Turkish industry reveals like AA, AG, SAM so It is not possibile to receive technology that Turkey has already been producing. The expertise Turkish industry reached to develop all those programs, are coming from European/USA offsets and multinational projects like ESSM, Stinger, Rapier that Roketsan joined. At present, Aselsan is pressuring SSM to develop Long range SAM missiles. Think Such a big and strong military club like NATO just keep 2 different Long range SAM missile equivalent (Aster/Patriot). I think This example is summarizing the self-confidence/maturity of Turkish engineers but Ballistic missiles are a different story which holds secret stories and hidden agenda.

-19 September 2013: First prototype labratory scale ignition of KALE-3500.
-Two other prototype KALE-3500 tubo-jet motor started ground trials in 2014.
-Totally 10 prototypes will be manufactred.
-24+17 (blue collar) qualified R&D engineers are developing it.

Some detail specifications of KALE-3500 design
-30cm diameter
-70cm length
-Weight: 48kg
-Working life: 17h
-Power: 3,2kN Standart, 3,5kN Maximum Thrust
-Domestic motor will use JP-8 and JP-10 synthetic fuels. Fuel quality is important because motor will oil itself with own fuel.
To meet JP-10 requirements, Roketsan/ODTU is working to synthesise main component "ekzo-tetrahidrodisiklopentadien" of JP-10 in accordance with MIL-DTL-87107E standarts. With that project, JP-10 will be produced 1,5 tonnes per year by Roketsan. Project name: EKZO and Development time: 29 months.

French TRI-40(SOM uses): 2,5kN standart, 3,2kN max. Weight: 43kg
French TRI-50: 3,0kN standart, 3,5kN max.
French TRI-60-1: Max. 3,5kN
French TRI-60-3 Max. 4,0kN

KALE Turbo-prop motor program (funded by KALE independantly)
-Using KALE-3500 core motor technology
-Having 900shp power

Roadway of KALE after 3500 series turbo-jet motor program.
-Domestic Turbofan motor for missile programs
-Domestic Turboshaft motor which can be used on 1 tonnes unmanned and 3 tonnes manned helicopters
-Until 2023, A Turbo-fan with 100kN thrust power.
