Turkish Missile Programs

. . . . .
You will get around 400 Systems for that’s money.

The US Army has awarded a foreign military sales contract estimated $94.8 million to Raytheon / Lockheed Martin Javelin joint venture for Javelin weapon system deliverables to foreign customers, the Department of Defense announced Thursday.

The contract includes deliveries of rounds, command launch units, and battery coolant unit spares to the governments of France, Taiwan, Jordan, Qatar, Turkey, and Lithuania, the statement says.

So acc. to the article it isn't 95m from Turkey but a order of 95m from a group of countries.

. . . .

Really weird deal.

Article says 95m order from a group of countries. So Turkey is only a part of those 95m.

And a question:

Don't our Anti-Tank Missiles and Launchers have the same capability as the Javelin to strike direct and top?

Javelin missiles are technically equivalent of Turkey's KaraOk ATGM project. Mizrak-O/OMTAS is the equivalent of US TOW/Russian Kornet missiles with more advanced flight characteristics and guidance technologies.

Are you sure, I thought Omtas was closer to Raphael Spike.

. .
Mizrak-U/UMTAS = Spike-LR/Hellfire
Mizrak-O/OMTAS = Spike MR/TOW
Mizrak-K/KaraOk = Spike SR/Javelin

But according to Rocketsan specification omtas range is 200 - 4000
which is similar to Spike LR max range. And they both have a IR -seeker. and similar flight characteristics

Tow doesn't have that right ?
