There is deep-rooted tradition in Turkey regarding military land vehicles. And it still provides the significant of defense industry exports.
In this area, 6x6 and 8x8 tactical armored vehicles have a very special place. Although there were huge sales to many friendly countries such as UAE and Malaysia, the TAF tender was delayed for a long time. There are 4-5 different manufacturers, but especially Otokar ARMA and FNSS PARS systems have had a fierce development competition for years. As a result, both systems have achieved worldwide recognition. This competition has enabled both manufacturers to be among the best manufacturers in the world in their fields.

Indonesia is one of the most ideal markets for Turkish defense industry companies. Since there is a friendly relationship between the two states based on fraternity law, all kinds of permits and export approvals can be obtained quickly from the SSB. In addition, the trained workforce and established industry facilities in Indonesia make it possible to produce these types of vehicles locally. In other words, these companies can continue to keep the production line in the main center open for other productions by transferring the production that Indonesia needs partially or completely to its collaborative partner or affiliate in Indonesia in long-term cooperation.
