Anyone wanna take a guess at where we'll end today ?

.
We don’t need a president. Look at demark, sweden etc. No need for a president.

You want a strong man as front figure, look at the twat we have

Sweden and Denmark are constitutional monarchies. Comparsion makes no sense.

.
Maybe if we had a competent leader it wouldn't be a problem. But as we can see, all that power given to one dude isn't working well at all.

Whats the point in having a republic where the President is just symbolic???

I agree the President does not need all the power but they deserve power alongside a Prime Minister. I always believe in Balance of power to be honest. There needs to be a balance not competitive but just so every branch of government should have their powers checked.

Our ancestors regardless of Gokturk, Ottoman, Seljuk always had their own ways of balancing power.

Islamic Empires are the same too hence why Religious leaders did not hold all the power neither did Kings. But Kings were not subjected to full religious authority.

I know its the past. I agree too much authortarianism is bad but too much decentralisation can also backfire.

The only reason Denmark doesn't get rid of the royal family is because of the PR value. The Royal family receives around 120 mio DKK a year and that is divided among her kids etc.

However many danes believe the PR value generates a lot more income to Denmark, plus the danes unity is centered around the royal family. And because the family is smart enough to stay out of politics and focus on uniting the people and having higher moral standards that people will look up to. They are kept.

It would be the same if MKA had had kids and they stayed out of politics, but had some of the highest educational background in the world and talked about unity and love for Türkiye and all who lives under it.

Well the ottomans would probably have been a better example, but they didn't transition to democracy and ended up selling Türkiye and Türks.

Who says powers are decentralized, look at UK. even though they have a retarded two chamber system the PM holds the power, but the parliament is there to keep him in check

Ataturk had a plan to make the Ottomans more of a symbolic figure.

Until the signing of Sevres and how the ottoman royal family still wanted to keep power.

Until Ataturk decided it was time for a republic. To be honest imagine if Turkey was a constitutional Monarchy I really wonder how things would have turned out.

Im not really pro monarchy but monarchy does have its benefits. But secularism and monarchies clash.

They just cant go together one separates religion and the state while monarchies get their mandate from God.

All of this because there's a f*cking person won't get IMF help and there's a f*cking person won't structuring the economy, there's a f*cking person makes foreign investors think twice before investing here.

I honestly don't know what they are doing. The central bank has lost even the last bit of trust and transparency after the political motivated appointment of Erdogan. Finances are shit anyway since the son in law is in position. IMF incoming.

They are ruling for almost 20 years and still blaming other governments for problems, let's see if they can do it this time.

@himate , @MKALE1 how are we going to fix this ? Why aren't you here, did you go to open another Hagia Sophia ?

Man please stop posting videos in Turkish ; at least translate it or summarize it

Sorry mate, these guys are summerizing the need for CHP and others to stay focused, and not underrestimate the value of their own political figures. And they cover different aspects of politics, especially how currency and gold has gone blackmarket which is why their exchange rate changes so much. And they end up with the recent EEZ deal between Greece and Egypt.
