Turkish Directed Energy Weapons

. .
We have to integrate these laser systems to uavs for neutralizing terorists. Inside our borders we can use it very effectively if our laser able to hit targets from 15000 or 20000 feets.
No need to fit uavs with limited number smart bombs .LLS(Laser Saldırı Sistemi :-))gives 7/24 unlimited ammo with unlimited antipersonel capacity which we need to hunt moving terrorists with small arms and no armour .
We have chance to get them alive with limited injures. Only few minutes hit with laser takes terrorist out from fighting and if he escapes he cant fight for a long time. Also that gives too much phiscological damage over terrorists.

The problem is battery... bayraktars And Anka's are so tiny for that but a heavy UCAV like Akıncı, I dont know, it might work.

That is a good idea for a scifi but not real life.

Hmm, this is a very clever use of laser systems (the downing of the UAV). What would be even better is to have groups of these vehicles, lets say 15 or so in every group.

Create the software so the lasers on every vehicle can be synchronized on the same spot. 15x the speed so you could use this as an alternative to Hisar-A systems? I wonder if with enough lasers following a missile you could create "mini" iron domes?

Endless possibilities here.

I think we use 2.5 to 5 kw lasers with tactic UAV systems to hit targets with no armour. Why I said we can use it as antipersonal because of this. An uav fling 4000-5000 feet over terrorist can easily take over all of them because unlimited ammo and long flying capacity.Only risk is Manpads but ıf you first hit, they cant do anything because using manpad is not that easy in a short time if you are under attack.
They can hide but not escape. If they hide we can hit with Ataks,Hurkus f16s.

Turkey's laser weapon ARMOL passes acceptance tests
773

Turkey's domestically-developed laser weapon system ARMOL has completed its acceptance tests, Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank announced Monday.

Vehicle Mounted Fiber Laser System (ARMOL) passed acceptance tests successfully and qualified to enter the Turkish Armed Forces' inventory, Varank said in an announcement on Twitter.

The minister also shared a video showing the weapon in action, penetrating armor plates and destroying drones.

The 400-kilogram (881 lbs) laser system was mounted on a Cobra armored vehicle, along with target acquisition hardware and a control terminal.

The 1.25-kilowatt laser weapon is able to damage 3-millimeter steel plate at a 500-meter range and is planned to be integrated into fighter jets.

The system was developed by Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey's (TÜBITAK) Information Security Research Center (BILGEM).

BILGEM has developed other laser weapon systems, including the 20-kw High Power Laser System (YGLS).
