Turkey needs a minimum of 200 million population base of the curent national population quality to be sizable enough to support all desired projects. You can still do things at a higher cost without that population, and better accesibility to technology of today will help bring down the cost like in the case of India going to space at a fraction of the cost that it costed to the USA.

Pipulation is very important.. especially coming young population push the economy up. Look at India and CHina, their advantage is their population. Without population, Turkey will be one of those European countries, has technology, but nobody really care about them about world affairs..
