I understand you 100% trust me. But the Westerners don't like that. Turkey brags of being a very important member of NATO,but there's a lot of playing on both sides....

NATO is a military alliance. If a NATO member gets attacked, we'll play our part. the US wants to sell its own shale gas and oil to Europeans, so they want all countries to sanction russian energy in order to buy it from the US and they frown upon some countries buying it from Russia. But we have to think for ourselves too. Our economy is fragile, so is yours, we should stop worrying about what the US wants and focus on our own needs.

That said, many people in Turkey wants to be distanced from NATO/US politics, so we'll see what the future holds.

But its far from reality for other members of the Alliance. Turkey has played a critical role in the Ukraine operation, more so that Greece for example could ever hope to play(Mitsotakis is trying to suck up as much as he can in hopes of favor in the future and to keep up(much to the annoyance of some in Greece) but even then is doesn't compare to Turkey's critical role..), and Turkey has strong relations with many members of the Alliance, particularly Eastern European states and many in the Balkans.

Nonsense. Turkey has been critical in containing the Soviet Union and now, Russia. We've been fighting Russian backed groups since as long as I can remember. Just because we bought one Russian missile system doesn't change that.

It's bullshit. Our economy can't take it and they know it. If Turkey were to sanction Russia, it would hurt Turkey more than it hurts Russia.

What the f does the Zurich-London agreement have to do with the CYPRUS MISSILE CRISIS? Are you completely retarded?

What complex and hatred? You had a massive army in Northern Cyprus in the 90s,the Greek Cypriots bought the S-300s to protect themselves in case of a war,you threatened with casus belli (like always),the Russians offered to protect the missiles and their installment on the island,you kept threatening with a new operation and eventually a solution was found between Greece-Cyprus-USA that would make Turkey back down. The S-300s were installed in Crete and Cyprus bought Tor-M1 and Buk-M1-2 AA systems instead.
