It's a little late for that don't you think? We should do the same with Crete what we did with Cyrpus. 50/50.

I don't know about Crete but if a conflict starts because of Aegean dispute we can force Greece to sign a new treaty to rearrange somethings. It's a little late for that don't you think?

Let's face it. If Greece gets stubborn and claims whole of Aegean for itself than we need to do something. I have to say there is very little chance Greece has the guts to do this. They don't have money, army or the will to start a war with us but we have to think about this situation just in case.
man you get funnier and funnier with every post. You must surely be an adolescent.
Actually I think you should re-consider things.. and you should drop this attitude.
You are behaving as the world owes you everything. It doesn't nor do you have a lineage claim on everything you see fit. Grow up
What you're talking about isn't even remotely about the EEZ subject here..
I'm not exactly in the "let's blow things up" attitude but my military mind can't explain to me how Greece is going to force this to Turkey. Actually i find this funnier than Atawolf's posts. Time to be fair and reasonable, in any conflict obviously Greece has much more to lose.
We can draw EEZs from the two countries' mainlands and exclude whatever territorial waters Greece has within Turkey's side. Greece still gets a lot more than Turkey by diplomacy. It might not be so, in result of a military conflict. So wise up, it's for both countries' benefit.
Oh please...Greece doesn't have to use military force to force anything on Turkey. It won't need to.
Oh please...
I'm not the one who claims the whole Aegean for itself. Greece does, and you support it. If you support extreme things, you will get an extreme response back. I hope Greece won't repeat the mistakes it made on Cyprus.
What do you think will happen next? The reality of an EEZ does not change with Turkey striking at Greece. I am sure you understand that. Just as it didn't change for Cyprus although Turkey occupies half the island. No gain there, no gain here.
It is the actual truth? Says who? Let first Greece declare the EEZ then say it is the truth. Blind nationalism has a high price.
Since when soldiers are thinking like businessmen? No gain? oh sh*t what about the big big BIG loss on Greece's side? You're okay with that? I don't know. Just drop it
1. Isn't it obvious? It'll either be a diplomatic solution or a military conflict, I leave you to calculate which one's more beneficial and who has more to lose.Which loss? Loss of what?
(and soldiers begun thinking like businessmen sometime around Vietnam) ..

2. spare me, I read john keegan too. It was always a failed approach.
What? will Turkey occupy Greek soil. NO, it cannot, will not, cannot possibly be allowed. Even if Greece exits the Eurozone, it will still be part of the EU. EU soil under occupation will never be tolerated.
But you don't see. Our intentions are pure, the only damn point is to cause you trouble. What do you think will happen? They'll sanction Turkey -again- but it's very limited what they can do. We have our own military industry. So we sit on your islands just like Cyprus, no EEZ no FIR no nothing plus your combat casualities, enormous military expenses and so on..The only thing Turkey can bring home is the joy and pride of a successful assault. Not much to go on there, because in terms of size, Greece is about 1/7 of Turkey and in military terms slightly below 3:1 (at least when I used to serve) Even if that has moved to 3.5:1 or even 4:1 we both and the rest of the world knows that Greece is geared for short term defence and Turkey is Geared for long term assault. What other possible outcome could one foresee?
Damn straightThe point you may be failing to grasp is that if your former superiors thought there was something to be gained, they would have made a move.
