Turkey - US agree on a safe zone in Syria - Daily Sabah
Foreign Ministry undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioğlu stated on Tuesday that a safe zone in Northern Syria will be established.

According to the statement, the US and Turkey have agreed upon the establishment of a safe zone where members of the moderate Syrian opposition will be placed.

"Not only Turkmens, but also Arabs will be placed in the safe zone. They will be under air-protection from any possible attacks by ISIS, PYD or Assad regime. We have mutual understanding with the US on this matter," he said.

The undersecretary also added that the safe-zone will be as long as 48 kilometers and as wide as 95 kilometers.

According to the statement, any ISIS or PYD members trying to infiltrate into the safe-zone will be immediately neutralized by both Turkish and US military forces.

It looks like Turkey is trying to make a deal with the US and the US constantly postponing an agreement.

They got what they want: Incirlik base... Now they are playing a game of hide and seek to gain time for what I think is obvious.

They lost control at some point and trying to gain it back but that of course, isn't something they can achieve with PYD cavemen.

With the Russian buildup in Syria it looks like a no fly zone is a no go.
