Im even inclined to believe that this current situation was perhaps created in order to flock more radicals towards Syria to prolong it for longer and create more instability for years to come, including for the neighbours.

For the US and Israel, unrest and instability is important. A mideast without sunni vs shia rivalry will probably mean that mideast Arab nations will all focus on Israel. That's now what Israel and the US want. Plus, sunni and shia division will mean increased influence and weapon sales for the US. Etcetcetc.

@Sinan why does Turkey have to attack Syrian AA if they just want to attack ISIS? @xenon54 this comes back to Turkey attacking Syria and not ISIS... they will uses ISIS as an excuse...if Turkey really wanted to attack ISIS they would have not attacked the Syrian jet that was bombing ISIS... or at least worked with Syria...

actually Syria would like Turkey to help it against its fight against Terrorism... the international community will look differently at the situation in Syria when a NATO country and Syria join forces.. plus ISIS and F$A are far apart in terms of geography since there is no F$A terrorists in the east, getting rid of ISIS means the return of Syrian oil to Syria, which will weaken the F$A terrorists ... ..

Because, Syrian AA locks on Turkish Aircraft on a daily basis while we were on our airspace. We have no doubt when Turkish aircraft ventures into Syrian Airspace you will fire on our planes. Therefore before the operation the Syrian AAs which poses a threat to aircraft should be destroyed.

They wanted to, but Turkish Grand National Assembly has declined their request in 1st of March 2003

We didn't want participate in Iraqi invasion, so they used Kurds.

USA used Incirlik Airbase for logistic of its Invasion Force in Iraq. Turkey did help USA to maintaine Iraqi invasion campaign. Turkey helped USA to fly thousands of Tons of Heavy military material to Iraq.

In Response of the Help, USA and AKP joined together and punished Turkish generals with Ergenekon Trials.
