Turkey switches from Iranian to Libyan oil

I am really sorry our government succumbed to US pressure and decided to reduce oil imports.

We should help our Muslim brothers in stead of assisting others oppression to them.

In any case, Allah helps the oppressed ones and foils the plans of the oppressors as always. The Brent prices increased from $105 to $125 in three months. Iran can sell %15-20 less than before and still bring in the same revenue :)

Personally I do believe these sanctions will bring prosperity for Iran same as "Sheb Abu Taleb" brought to Muslims,
and Islam spread after that.
Iran will be forced for efficient work and try which will bring development

One man loss is another man benefit..truth of doing business!

is that the way of business Islam thought you? did Rasulleah(PUH) did business in this way?

You are 100% correct these sanctions normally have the effect of making people self reliant. In Pakistan we experienced sanctions by Americans in 90s and then the following 10 years we came out with JF17, Al Khalid, cruise missiles etc.

I wish we Pakistanis have sanctions all the time from Americans so we learn self reliance

Mate, this is business..Turkey, obviously, will decide to do business with whoever she wishes for her benefits not according to some people`s thoughts..I checked that link..Iranians there are emotional..Thats normal..Business is business

you are right biz is biz, but why now? even with political reasons Turkey has right to decide whatever they want.
then two nations relation can be made based on these kid of decisions in long term.
by the way there are not only Iranian in that link. in fact Iranian do not read their news from their own english press when they can read persian version

Its not the first time that the Americans demand us to reduce buying oil from you.We have been refusing and telling them that if they could offer us cheaper oil,we would love to accept that because we also want to diversify our oil trade since it creates dependence.

Correct decision for us,whether its against Iran or KSA or others.

Iran has given us no economic reason while their officials were canceling tenders won by Turkish companies or constantly refusing a win-win Free Trade Agreement to defend an argument like "Mutual economic relations with Iran is for our economic benefits" Another example is the natural gas we bought from Iran. Here are the last years average numbers that we pay for 1000 cubic meter of natural gas to other countries:

to Iran is 423 USD
to Russia is 418 USD
to Azerbaycan is 282 USD

Iran has sold us the most expensive natural gas that we import. Even the natural gas we bought from Russia is cheaper than than Iran's.

Bro, its not that we switched our Iranian crude oil source..We just decreased %20..Turkey still imports the most crude oil from Iran..Its not a big deal and not a hostile act..just business

Depends upon what kind of sanctions have been imposed. Absolute crippling sanctions can destroy a nation's economy. USA has never went that far but came close to do so with Iraq.

Also, sanctions have significantly undermined Iranian Defence Industry. Yes, we get to see some Iranian toys now and then but we do not know much about their quality. And Iran has managed to last due to its oil imports. Now that USA is planning to target export business of Iran, we will see how far Iran will go.

And sanctions on Pakistan have mainly been restricted to military aid. Civilian aid programs have never been targeted and neither any major restrictions were imposed on Pakistan with respect to its imports and exports.

Try to do some homework before commenting on these matters. Same goes for Cyrus the Great member.
