it is for short and medium range. Turkish Long range air defence missile will be ready in 2023-24 and Turkey need s400 fast because of issues with Greece for gas fields and Syria.. ;)
answer is nthing and everybody knew about these missiles coming years ago..

Hope Pakistan get them too.

Nice...looks like a compact, mobile version of the patriot sam system.

At Hisar-A trials, Two target drones have been flown simultaneously.

Kalkan or AKR radar firstly locked one of target drone and missile is fired. During mid-course guidance, Hisar-A missile has succesfully demonstrated to switch target to change course thanks to TVC control, and destroyed second target with a pin-point accuracy.

:coffee:

What is the searching range of radar and also respectively the engagement range and altitude?

According to internet interception altitude is 5km which is too low. Against which threats this SAM is produced? Subsonic cruise missiles and drones?

Yes it is mainly used for cruise missiles, drones, helicopters and low flying planes like SU-25, SU-24 etc..

It does not sound groundbreaking but the Hisar A will be an integral part of future Turkish multi-layered air defence system firstly replacing the Rapier and thus complimenting the current MIM-HAWK Phase iii medium ranged SAM and then HISAR-O and Siper systems when introduced.

The HISAR-A might not be as technically sound and state of the art as the Pantsir S1 but you have to remember that Russia has been developing SAMS for over 50 years whilst this is a new venture for Turkey and at least this system is better than the Tunguska which many countries still use to this day.

I am sure over time Turkey will make improvements to future HISAR-A regarding max altitude.
