Turkey successfully tests HISAR-A air defence system

Hope Pakistan get them too.

Pakistan doesnt need a logistical nightmare by buying 10 different types of Airdefense systems. There is a reason pakistan is opting for chinese air defense options which is to not have logistical nightmare like they have in india. Currently Pakistan wants as fewer variety as possible in its inventory. Pakistan already has enough medium range defense options so next option and only option available in long range is HQ9 or another chinese system.

Should be high on our purchase list , would be great to have this platform added to add multiple layers of defense

Perhaps we should convince Turkey to let us have some Systems for Tryout on live LOC situation see how the system performs

I would like to see Hisar-A / Hisar-0 as possible addition to boost our defence capabilities

Hisar A and hisar O systems is low and medium altitude sytems but there are two benefits, one is they are highly mobile sytems so you can not attack easily to them and secondly they are more reisistant to many counter sytems flare does not work because its IIR,radar warning recievers does not work because it is nor radar guided so radar recievers on planes does not work, radar electronic counter measures does not work, even its smokeless flight can not detected by electro optic systems easily,so its very deadly at the effective range, you can fly over these sytems but almost you can not drop bomb at that high altitutes

You are escaping from claws of Eagle to mouth of Dragon, i am afraid when you realize the situation it would be too late.

There are not many options on the table. We are buying Corvettes and T129 from turkey as well but fact remains that turkey sources many of the crucial parts from EU or US. Turkish industry is still developing with a long way to go. I would give you example of recent contract for the upgrade of Augusta 90B submarines where Turkey had to source a lot of components for upgrade from european companies. In case of china there is no escaping reality that we have no other major supplier in international arena. We cant rely on russians or americans so china is the only option on the table where we dont have to worry about parts being withheld due to american sanctions. We are trying our very best to opt for indigenous options but our economic constraints dont allow us total indigenisation. We still have to source critical components like tank and jet engines.

The Missile of Hisar doesnt use a radar to lock however the system has to have a searching radar which emits signals therefor it is impossible to be stealth.

İmaging infrared IIR its very much effective than IR seeker thats why its range relatively short.
i know that but as i heard hisar has 150km range meanwile IIR at best have 30km range. so what method hisar utilize for mid course guidance is the question.

Midcourse guidance via RF data-link and Terminal guidance with IIR seeker.
