A video has appeared on YouTube showing the Kurdish YPG militia launch an anti-tank guided missile at a Turkish Leopard tank as the Turkish Army advanced toward Afrin in an offensive against the Kurdish forces.

According to the ANF News agency, the tank was hit in the area of the village of Kurdo in the Bilbil district of the Syrian city of Afrin on Sunday morning.

The video has been posted on the YouTube channel of the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG).

In a single day, Kurdish fighters destroyed five Turkish tanks in the Afrin area, ANF reported.

Two tanks were hit in the village of Diqmetash and two in the vicinity of the town of Tel-Rifat. It is in these areas that the fiercest battles are currently being fought between Kurds and the Turkish Army.

The Kurdish command reported that four Turkish soldiers and 10 pro-Turkish guerrillas were killed in the fighting in northwestern Syria.

"As a result of these clashes, 10 members of the gang were killed in different parts of the region, 20 bandits [members of the armed Syrian opposition] were wounded. In addition, four Turkish soldiers were killed and many were injured in clashes in Bilbil,” the YPG reported in a press release.

It also said that during the clashes three soldiers of the Kurdish militia were killed.

Erdogan Vows Turkey to Quickly Conclude Op in Syria as 'Terrorists' Already Fleeing
Turkey launched an offensivein northern Syria against the Kurdish forces Ankara considers terrorists. The operation dubbed "Olive Branch" was launched with airstrikes on Kurdish targets in Afrin on Saturday.

The strikes resulted in the damage of 108 targets out of 113 planned.

On Sunday, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim confirmed the beginning of a ground offensive in the region.

It was noted that Turkish armored vehicles had advanced some 3.5 kilometers into the Syrian territory.

The situation on the Syrian-Turkish border had recently become tense, with the Turkish armed forces shelling YPG positions, which it considers to be an affiliate of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), designated as a terrorist organization in Turkey and several other countries.

Despite the fact that the military operation has already been condemned by Damascus, calling it a violation of Syrian sovereignty, Ankara calls it self-defense under international law.

Friend, I see the number underestimates the Kurdish power. They destroyed 54738 tanks with one rocket. I saw with my own eyes. They also killed 389498 Turkish soldiers and "mercenaries". Meanwhile Turkey killed 0 militant, gained 0 territory and only killed 348998498 civilian Kurds.

.
Issue is not Kurds but YPG. Turkey will destroy YPG to the last terrorist. This is our solution.

You mean to say that the Kurds inside Turkey don't want a Kurdistan?? That is what i sensed from @damm1t 's post here :

I am no one to tell Kurds and Turks if they wish to live tolerantly with each other in a single nation. I have just presented a solution if that is not the case.

. .
Who is polluting the thread? I am just simply pointing out your action is in violation of Syria sovereignty, it is a fact.

It is you and your fellow Turks, resorting to name calling and bring up the non relevant Tibet issue here etc.
Well, its true that Turkey 'officially ' violated Syrian territory, hence Assad(Syria's so called 'president') had to condemn it and threaten to shoot down Turkish jets invading northern Syria (we all know that's bullshit, since he will never act on it. Lol).
However, you should know that might is right in Geo-politics. Every power is after its own national interests, and they will use any means necessary to achieve their goals. It all depends on their capabilities and potential. So in this regard, I don't see anything wrong with Turkey invading another part of Syria to target its enemies and secure its interests.
Same with U. S, British forces in Syria, there's nothing wrong in their presence, they are merely furthering their own interests and securing a sphere if influence for themselves in the region. Likewise Iran, Hezbollah and Russia are doing the same by securing the ur interests in the region, Israel also strikes terror groups like Hezbollah weapons shipments in Syria when its interests are threatened.
Syria is a no man's land. Every power is free to get involved as they see fit. It's up to them to decide if they think their interests are threatened.
So the only one to blame here is the butcher assad, since he's the country's leader. He has failed his country. The power he had been dp obsessed in preserving is useless now, since he is just a figure head in the country now and his country has become a play ground for world and regional powers  . He has only himself to blame :agree:

.
First step is to destroy logistical lines. After that it will be like pigeon hunting. No need to rush. Just let them counter attack to try to establish logistical lines and mow them down.

Turkey battles Syrian Kurds 'on two fronts' in Afrin

Turkish troops have taken control of 11 Kurdish positions and created "safe zones" in neighbouring Syria's northwestern region of Afrin, according to Turkish media.

Reports on Tuesday said the army, aided by Free Syria Army rebels, is pushing towards the southern part of the Syrian region with fronts on the west and the east.

The Turkish army, which launched the Afrin operation on Saturday, captured the villages of Shankal, Qorne, Bali and Adah Manli, as well as the rural areas of Kita, Kordo and Bibno and four other hills in Afrin, Turkish daily Hurriyet reported.

State-run Anadolu news agency said that the forces launched a second front towards Afrin from Syria's Azaz on Monday to squeeze the People's Protection Units (YPG) - a Syrian Kurdish force - from both west and east in order to advance on southern Afrin.

Turkey sees the YPG as a "terrorist group" that acts as the Syrian offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which has waged a bloody three-decade fight against the Turkish state.

Reported casualties
Turkey's military announced its first fatality of the campaign after a soldier was killed in clashes with the YPG southeast of the border town of Gulbaba.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said a total of 22 Syrian civilians have been killed by Turkish attacks and two more by Kurdish fire during the operation.

It said 54 Syrian fighters were killed, including 19 Ankara-backed rebels, 26 Kurdish fighters and nine unidentified figures.

Ankara has denied inflicting civilian casualties, with Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu accusing the YPG of sending out "nonsense propaganda and baseless lies".

The UN Security Council discussed Turkey's offensive and the worsening humanitarian crisis in Syria on Monday but did not condemn or demand an end to the Turkish operation.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, while visiting London, said he was "concerned" about the offensive, and EU diplomatic chief Federica Mogherini said she would discuss the situation with Turkish officials.

But Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed impatience with US demands to set a clear timetable, saying the campaign would be over "when the target is achieved".

"How long have you been in Afghanistan? Is that over in Iraq?" he said, referring to long-running US military presence in those countries.

Erdogan has previously indicated that once control is imposed in Afrin, Turkey wants to head east to defeat the YPG in the town of Manbij.

Meanwhile, Russia and Iran - who have a military presence in Syria and are working with Turkey on a peace process - have also expressed concern.

Erdogan insisted Turkey had discussed the operation in advance with Russia, and Moscow was in "agreement".

Turkey battles Syrian Kurds

Turkey fight against The US-Israel backed Pkk-Ypg Terrorists , not Kurds
Turkey saved over 350.000 Syrian Kurds from Pkk-Ypg Terrorists , DAESH , Assad Regime and Iran backed Terrorist groups

I am saying again Turkey fight against The US-Israel backed Pkk-Ypg Terrorists who invaded over 30 % of Syrian Territory ( oil and gas reserves ) under the mask of fighting against DAESH

Turkey has right to clean the borders from the Terrorists
and Turkey was exercising its rights to combat the attacks as defined by article 51 of the United Nations

so Turkish Armed Forces will clean Syrian-Turkish border from The US-Israel backed Ypg Terrorists to protect Turkey's and Syria's territorial integrity

. . .
dont worry the next target will be Manjib after Afrin

whole world have seen how The US and YPG Terrorists tranfered ISIS Terrorists to Afrin , Libya and Sinai from Raqqa
The US-YPG Terrorists transfered 1000 ISIS terrorists to Afrin from Raqqa to attack Turkey
so Turkish Armed Forces fight against PKK-YPG and ISIS Terrorists in Afrin
YPG and ISIS are whres of The US
and both American little btches YPG and ISIS will be destroyed by Turkish Army in Afrin
So if US is involved in anti Turkish activity why are you still having relationship with the Americans ? Why is there a American embassy in Turkey? Why do you even have relations with Israel?
