Turkey set to become largest operator of UCAV in Europe, Asia and Middle East

Aksungur (Anka-2) performed a decisive flight in first trial. National engines work good. Congratulations for TAI and TEI !

when do you guys plan to use jet engines in your UCAVs? Congratulations looks like Fotros ucav.
When we actually manage to produce them :)

There's a couple of projects on going on multiple fronts for jet engines, including smaller ones for missles to larger ones for heli's and the TFX 5th gen fighter project.

None is finished as of yet, but some are very close.

Akinci will be a turboprop powered (2x550hp) drone but I think First flight and trials will be performed with domestic 2xPD-220 turbodiesel engines (220hp).

The striking capabilities of Turkish drones will take one step further with Aksungur and Akinci armed drones. Anka/Bayraktar TB2 drones are optimized to drop MAM-L/MAM-C/Bozok munitions. Those drones with mini guided munitions cleaned the PKK-PYD terrorist organisation from the surface.

Now, The new era is being started. Aksungur with 750kg and Akinci with 1400kg payload will pass into carrying bigger munitions to drop over the heads of not only terrorist groups but also their barraks, houses, caves, buildings...etc. It won’t be needed to call F-16 like fighters to strike bigger targets anymore. Turkish drones will be more than enough to drop bigger munitions to reach more lethal results...

Aselsan/Tubitak Quad-Pack launcher & Small Diameter Bombs with bunker busting and thermobaric warheads would be the ultimate combination.
