No, Turkey is still taking S400. But they want temporary deployment of Patriots under NATO.

We will get the S400, we will get all the data, secrets and we will deploy it for a while. Once Hisar-U is ready we will get rid of them- we might keep a radar and launcher for some r&d purpose but I think its clear that the S400 will be temporary and Turkey will go after the F35 after that. actually Hisar A can be make for now and deploy in syria. Qualification line is not ready but like prototype missiles Roketsan can make custom missiles as LRIP. Actually since Hisar A is IIR guided missile can be directed with a E/O device without using radar. Turkey made stinger platforms (Atılgan and Zıpkın) like that. Think ! one missile for one truck only 2 personnel. they can scare su24s.

If the US was really against turkey purchasing s400 this request for patriot will expose the US narratives. If the US hurriedly fulfill turkeys request will prove its sincerity because erdogan knows the game that's been played here by all parties. If US declines then that will prove the s400 saga was just an excuse but the real tension is that US cannot puppeteer Turkeys leaders anymore and that's why relation went downhill

I think it is better to end the war in Syria. I dont think Bashar will kill all of Idlib population once it decided to surrender. He doesnt do it when Aleppo is surrender. Better for Sunni Muslim in Syria (80 % of population) to be patience and accept the reality, Allah is not sleeping. Similar situation is also happening when Hasan (prophet grandson) decided to let go the revolution in order to avoid civil war among Muslim.
