Turkey seeks explanation from Iran over alleged genocide remarks

.
To 胡子海盗: "relationship" is relative - I call hypocrisy when I see it. We are all on the side of victims and the Armenians in Anatolia 95 years ago were doubtless predominantly victims.

So let's get into the topic:

If you excuse the CCP government because the students were "used" ... don't you think it's at least possible that the Armenians as a group were "used" or "agitated" to bring down an empire?

It does not change their "victimhood" and not the least mitigate their sufferings ... but it does make one wonder what the motive was in insisting a "genocide" label ...

Look up Dzungar Mongols ... who suffered massacre to a man at the hands of the Manchus, who were the rulers of China at that time.

Does that mean today's China has to wear the official label of "genocide perpetrator"?

How about the Mongolian expat association of Washington lobbying Uncle to pass a "resolution" on that?

Yes let's stop derailing the thread.

Your post above wasn't much help though.

We can go through history and talk about the massacre of the Native Americans, or the Roman use of slavery, but that would just derail the thread further. Let's stick to the issue.

Excuse? Students are innocent, the most sympathetic and most vulnerable, but they are internal forces and foreign forces to use, it is a fact. This premature action can only have one outcome, to see the Soviet Union, but fortunately did not succeed.

Aye aye captain. I said what I wanted to say. I am going to retire and let the Iranians and Turks take this up further ...

I doubt they really wish to.

Then why do you bring it up? Starvation caused by failed economic policies does not fit the definition of genocide.

Maybe the party has not apologised directly for it (yet), but all leaders of the CPC starting from Deng Xiaoping have admitted that Chairman Mao made serious mistakes.

And his mistakes have nothing to do with the new generation of leadership, all of who support a "socialist market economy", and many of whom were actually PURGED during the era of Mao.

Buddy, he or she is a well known assh@le on this forum, he thought he know it all adtitude is simply unbearable, you need to be a little longer here to understood his agenda. Best is to ignore him or her.:azn:

As you say the other things, that was a long ancient event, there is no object and influence, however, we still need to do is said to myself , "Do not repeat the history of mankind wrong" .As Turkey, it is not the same, more like the Japanese . Now Japan is not a previous government, but he still needs to apologize to hurt other countries in World War II . Because history is still affected. Injured people still remember.

.
The word genocide today is being abused by grandstanding politicians and activists to such an extend it's bordering on meaningless, much like the word Holocaust.

Some Turkish politicians ain't immune from this tendency either, just look at their responses to last years ethnic riot in Xinjiang. Lesson for politicians around the world, don't go around calling anything involving more than ten deaths genocide, it's demeaning and may come back to haunt you some day.

This is an open forum to speak freely, I have my own point of view.

I was wondering why he talked like that...

Sort of like someone reading from a thesaurus... :azn:

Like I said before, it seems to be an issue of poor social skills, rather than anything deliberate.

Is that your way of saying "good riddance"? I really am retiring for the night you know. But you are right I always leave my agenda behind. :azn:

Is it too late to apologize for my "attitude"? No bed time hugs? Not like the Dragon? :undecided:

Now what kinda "hood" are you from, "brother"?

Like I said before, it seems to be an issue of poor social skills, rather than anything deliberate.

I thought we established that my little friend ... I am here entertaining you, no? Would I do that if I was blessed with "social skills"?

Well, at least you know what you are doing (trolling), and why you are doing it.

Anyway let's try to get back on topic...

Iranians are such a bunch of double-faced junkies. On one hand, they deny the mass killing of Jews in the hands of Nazi Germany in the broad daylight, while on the other hand they’re trying to be sympathizers of the Armenians by seeking apologies from Turkish government for what Ottoman did to the Armenians like a century ago. It’s more of hatred against Ottoman Empire than empathy for the Armenians on their part.

Iranians are the most selfish nation to ever walk this planet. They would repudiate the universal truth and kick off universal lies and go to any extent to serve their personal interests.:hang2:

I look at these 1915 events soykırm china looks .. Armenians in 1915, a law cıkarılan. was deported to Syria. in the east of England, the Kars-Ardahan-Batu my Anatolian Armenian attempts to forge .. Of course with the support of Britain düşmüştür.onlar water in this region was the massacre of French and German nationals who do .. genocide is now Israel. Why do not you love these Chinese Turkish brothers to ask a wise man indeed .. cham In an example from China for fear seddini have done ..

There are also comments made by many people about Pakistan and Pakistani support for Talibans that I choose not to write here. You cannot judge a nation or country by actions of few. Iran is an ancient and proud nation and it may have produced few bad apples.
