Last time I checked NATO did not stay behind Turkey after shooting down the Russian aircraft. In fact, they left Turkey alone on that matter, that's why Turkey was quick to resettle its relationship with Russia again.

They actually stayed behind Turkey as they knew that Russia will not risk to fight Turkey anyway, as both of them will e easy target after years of war..

btw if Turkey withdraw from the NATO , Turkey will develop nuclear weapons in a year to protect itself

What is the problem of turkey to develop a nuclear weapon of its own within the NATO membership ?
