The nuclear energy activities of Turkey does not need to cause anxiety in Bulgaria, said Taner Yildiz, Turkish Energy Minister on Friday in Sofia, Bulgaria.
During the press conference at Turkish Embassy to Bulgaria, Yildiz stated that prepatory works related with building nuclear energy plants focused on 4-5 regions.
"Igneada, a town in Turkey, is one of the alternatives that is close to Bulgarian border," added Yildiz.
Noting Turkey's fulfillment of its joint technical and infrastructure works with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Yildiz said nuclear power plants were structured with the most confidential technology.
"The safety of neighbouring countries has the ultimate importance for Turkey," he added.
