Turkey quits landmark Istanbul Convention protecting women from violence

Religion was not given to people so that one group can trample over another , you have no monopoly over religion , do not try to misuse it to justify misconduct.

Turkey is a secular Country ..... nobody trample over others in Turkey

Your İsrael is radical religion State

TURKS never will allow Globalist MAFIA to destroy Turkish culture , Turkish values and Turkish Family structure

I am saying again ... majority of Turkish People is Muslim
TURKS have different mentality to compare with christian Europeans

2% of People of Turkey can not impose its own perverse feminist-fascist-ateist mentality over 98%

there are irreconcilable differences between Turkish values and İstanbul convention

Turkey doesnt need feminist-fascist-ateist mentality from Europe

We TURKS now understand that de-sexizing, de-nationalizing and de-religing activities of the Globalists against nation-states through Istanbul convention

.
Woman are discriminated all over the world. Specially in the middle east.

This is due both to law and traditions. Now you cannot change traditions over night , but the state can make laws to protect the rights of it' people.

2000 years ago it was the " culture " and " values " of a certain empire , to feed people to the lions for amusement.

200 years ago , people went to war against their brothers to protect their " culture " and " values " of keeping slaves. Keeping slaves was part of their way of life and culture too.

Religion was not given to people so that one group can trample over another , you have no monopoly over religion , do not try to misuse it to justify misconduct.

It was given to you to improve yourself. Not for you to force you " understandings ' on others.

Yes , for example Poland

Poland also withdraw from a European treaty ( Istanbul Convention )

Poland argued that the İstanbul convention violated the rights of parents and contains elements of an ideological nature

The Polish government and its coalition partners are closely aligned to the Catholic Church, and the government has promised to promote traditional family values

Poland has been called the worst country in the EU for LGBT rights

Polish President described the promotion of LGBT rights as an "ideology" more destructive than Communism

LGBT Mafia impose its own perverse mentality under the mask of preventing violence against women over European treaty ( Istanbul Convention )

AFAIK we didn't yet withdraw from this LGBTUSAIDS treaty. So far there is only talk about withdrawing. Hope we will soon withdraw.
Well done Turkey. Well done president Erdogan.

The spirit of the convention has been denied by some Constitutional Courts in Europe as it has devastating effects on the concept of family. Convention actually leading to a formal recognition of a third gender and same-sex marriage. So the main problem is not a destructive feminazi over families, but there is a broader framework that designing the society to unusual new norms.

On 27 July 2018, the Bulgarian State Constitutional Court pronounced Resolution No 13 on Constitutional Case No. 3/2018 stating that "the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, does not comply with the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria". In its decision, the Court identified a relation between previous Council of Europe documents against domestic violence and the expansion of transgender rights. According to the Constitutional Court, the convention offers a binary interpretation of gender as both a biological and social category, which contradicts the constitution of Bulgaria, where humans are irrevocably defined as biologically male or female, with equal standing as citizens. The convention therefore lays formal ground to promote non-biological definitions of gender, which are deemed unconstitutional.

Slovakia National Council followed Bulgaria Constitutional Court, especially because of its clauses concerning LGBT rights, which they portrayed as "extreme liberalism" that corrodes "traditional values" they felt needed to be protected.

Finally, Poland withdrew from the agreement last year. In July 2020, Polish Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro declared he will begin preparing the formal process to withdraw from the treaty. He said that the treaty is harmful because it requires that schools teach children about gender in an ideological way and de-emphasizes biological sex. Ziobro had referred to the treaty as "an invention, a feminist creation aimed at justifying gay ideology".

Hungary has signed but never enacted the Convention. Debates are still going on in the UK and convention is not in force. In many other nation-states the situation is no different. Russia is not a party to the agreement anyway. Israel is not a CoE member anyway and has not even taken it on the agenda. (Of course, forum's kinnar figure won't tell you anything about that)

This convention is doomed to be canceled in any country where family values are tried to be strongly protected. Whether the power of nation-states is sufficient to combat the global social engineering that attacks with digital media and is spread across all countries at the level of foundations is a separate debate. But all of these are efforts to establish the legal basis of a new ideology that wants to raise your children genderless and is creating a new society by blessing lgbtq all over the world. The first step of this process is the destruction of the family institution.

Eastern European countries like Hungary, Poland, Moldavia, Bulgaria not really the height of 'progressiveness,' are they? Full of corruption, extreme religious orthodoxy, lack of law and order, and mismanagement.

Nordic countries, western European countries seem to be doing just fine despite all the outcry by conservatives.

Poland has always been of this nature. This is not new, and neither is it a justification to call the convention as 'satanic.'

How will the Polish criminal Government do that? As always by sending in the police to beat up the growing numbers of protestors? I think violence is the only response conservatives have whenever the leftist ideas gain popularity and traction.

Great decision. Muslim-majority nations should shape their laws, culture, and protections around Islam and not some colonial Western constructs which actually do more harm than good.

Islam calls for death penalty for rapists while European countries force Muslim majority countries to go lenient on rapists. This creates monsters in developing societies as animal rapists know that they will get away with it. There are many other cases like these where Europeans force their social values onto unwilling Muslim populations via NGOs, funds, political clouts etc (eg: Aurat march ecosystem in Pakistan).

Turkey surpassed Germany to become the largest European-NATO nation. Turkey does not need Germans/French to tell it how to 'protect' Turkish women. Turks can do that on their own....with a solution that is more well suited to their environment and culture. Turkey shouldn't be taking advice from cultures where the majority of births happen out of wedlock. What a disaster

Turkey fits your description perfectly well. No?

Turkey is an advanced, industrialized, medium-high income, and universally literate society with conservative (Islamic) values & social culture in most aspects.

Yes, alcohol drinking is definitely in line with conservative values and social culture.

Get a grip.

Turkey has one of the lowest alcohol consumption rates in the world. Its even lower than a backward shithole like india...and 90%+ population of Turkey is teetottler.

You literally just proved my point for me

Indeed.

But it is hard to debate with someone who thinks that beating up woman , is part of his culture , or as he put it : " Turkish values " .

Since when ?
