Too bad Pakistan cannot vote for him.

Jokes aside...
It's very sad that this decision was taken. You can say "it's their decision" but it's not a unilateral one. It's Erdoğan just being the dictator he is.
His government entered into the pact calling it a step towards rights for women.
So, why this now? Who knows, maybe to appeal to conservative base and remove attention from the economy, or maybe he just wants to provoke.
But 2023 is just around the corner, so none of this will last long.
Their we have him the Indian sympathiser.
I have to burst your bubble. Turkey is about to become very independent. Not shackled by Western imposed ancient treaties. I don't know what world you are living in, but Turkey is about to become very assertive. In fact, tackling the Kurdish problem and buying Russian hardware arw just small examples of Turkish boldness. Additionally, Turkey has been bitten by EU treachery and now US backstabbing. If anything, Turkey has understood that EU/US bloc is exploitative. Turkey is not going to sit around and take dictation by EU and the US.
This is only the beginning of things to come. Your optimism is based on wishful thinking.
