2 separate term exists because Bangladesh liberated itself from the Pakistani occupational force. I guess you also do not know the meaning of the Bangladesh, it means the country of the Bengalis. Till 1971 it was Bengali muslim as the country created for them but after 1971 it became exclusively Bangladeshi muslim. However if still anyone use the term Bengali muslim it only refer to Bangladeshi muslim not any leftover in India.

How is Pakistan - Bangladesh relations currently? Can't both open improve relations and increase front against India?

What front against India? We don't have that kinda bad relation with India like Pakistan has. We can solve border, NRC, river water issue ourselves with assistance from China, USA, EU and Turkey. But that doesn't mean we have to go at each others throat. Current increase in trade and regional connectivity should be more important.

Just read these Pakistanis comments sometimes in this forum about BD, you will see why we can't improve relation with them.

Even in PPP term Bangladesh is ahead of Pakistan. Just would like to remind you it’s 2019 data. In 2020 the difference increased further.
