Turkey navy to escort aid ships to Palestinians in Gaza

Whatever, but we can't deny the facts that Palestinians are suffering and Hamas is the result of that suffering.

I am sure Jews feel the same way with all the rocket attacks. It is just one's suffering is more than others. And obviously Palestinians love their suffering. Why else they would let other Muslim nations hijack the issue or let organization like Hamas "negotiate".

So what do you want -- stalemate to continue ? That is why I said India should step in and help to resolve the issue.

What part of "no wants the resolution", you don't understand?

.
Ah the naivete. First of all, India has no power over the issue. Many countries have tried and failed. Second, what makes you think anyone wants to "alleviate" the suffering of Palestinian people? This issue is nothing more than a tool to harass Jews (I mean Zionists). Keep dreaming about resolution to this problem. No one wants one, least of all Muslims.

You are right about India having no power. So long as the paid-for American Congress is in Israeli pocket I don't see a solution. Israel is a status quo party.

But I thank you for confirming what seems to be the 'educated' Indians' views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: You guys are very pro-Israel. The days of being pro-Palestinians are long gone the way NAM (Non-Aligned Movement) is long gone. Unfortunately, the Indian educated class--at least in the blogspace (and not just this one) has extended its India-Pakistan rivalry to the point where Indians defend Israeli actions against any party. This is evident in this forum.

Paid for American congress? Who is paying? I am quite sure Muslims want status quo too. It helps divert the attention of masses from actual problems at home. Imagine a new Palestinian state coexisting with Israeli state. Everyone's worse nightmare.

P.S: I am not an Indian. You have hardly seen my "pro-Israeli" views.

Don't act like an opportunist to blame India of being Pro Israeli. I took the pro Palestinian stance and you comfortably ignored it. The mess that is created of which 50-50 should be shared by both parties. Israel will do whatever it takes because it is the question of their existence but the Arabs who enjoy great leverage over West haven't done a heck for Palestinian. And as far as power is concerned India do enjoy a lot of power but our leaders do not want to step in.

@Jdme,
Yes, you are 'not an Indian'. After all, Indians are supposed to be pro-Palestinian, right? But you are one deluded person who buys everything Fox News churns out if you believe that everyone is out to 'harass Jews'. Do you have any answer to the question of Israeli Settlement expansion? Don't you think that act is a slowly but surely killing any viable Palestinian statehood? I consider that the greatest provocation done by the 'Zionists' of whom you are blatant apologist. You can't hide your true feelings.

Back to the topic.
What is Turkey trying to achieve with this naval escort to Gaza?

India, historically has been very pro-Palestine. It voted countless times against Israel in UN. It just got tired of being treated like crap by Muslim countries when it came to the issue of Pakistan. Nation of Israel wasn't even recognized by India till 1980s.Israel serves Indian interest. It doesn't back stab. Indian now is "oh let's solve the issue" and yet it will not get involved.

Because we wake up to the World reality which we conveniently ignored during our Socialist days, that no matter how hard we supported the Arab cause at the end of the day they tend to be Muslims first when coming to dealing with Indo-Pak issues. Also during Kargil War we found out that Israel is a friend that we can count on when they supplied us with LGBs from their own arsenal. So I as an Indian will chose Israel over Palestine as Israel is a country that matters to Indian national security and progress.

Indians are pro-India.

This is nothing more than posturing. Turkey lacks the ability to engage Israel in military conflict.

Good. I think you are correct and you portray Indian viewpoint honestly. I respect that. I may not agree with your viewpoint but you are frank here.

People like @Praful from India--who are admirable for their neutral/humanitarian stance in the blogspace about the Israel-Palestinian conflict-- are not as common as the pro-Israel Indians. Of course the reverse can be said about Pakistanis when it comes to Israel-Palestinian or Israel-Turkey conflicts.

But this is beyond 'posturing', don't you think?

ps. Okay, I am guilty of starting the off-topic tangent above and I will stop on that.

.
why is turkey going mad these days they are getting into a very dangerous thing

.
Major escalation by Turkish forces on an already fragile region.

This could spell bad things for both Israel and Palestinians.

.
Egypt has opened its borders to Gaza. It is Ramallah that is cut off from eastern side. What is the purpose of this "aid" ship to Gaza?

turkey may just be the match fire needed for a big blood bath in that region and you dont know who all may get involved in this
