Turkey navy to escort aid ships to Palestinians in Gaza

That would be consider an act of war against Israel and Israel will surely reciprocate. and how would Arab and Palestine reacts if Israel gets nuked because the land would be unlivable for any person along with Palestine.

So Pakistan merely equipping Turkey with some nukes (I know the idea sounds bizarre!) before any hostilities begin will be an act of war? Or may be Pakistanis can rationalize such an arrangement by thinking that since Israel poked its nose into the Kargil war then Israel was the one which started the not-so-cold war?

This is foolish assumption, when they fight for their survival they will use all the weapons in their repository.

If you say so chief but politics tells another story. Ironically, only using nukes would be the destruction of them.

If Muslim countries truly want to "end" the suffering of Palestinians, they should tone down their rhetoric. Control likes of Iran. More they will shout, less Israel will care about a solution. Hardliners were actually beaten in recent Israeli elections and they still managed to form the government.

As per nuclear proliferation treaty Turkey can't get nukes. It is as simple as that. Turkey is the signatory of that treaty. Pakistan and turkey both will face serious sanctions and would be isolated. It is like playing into the hands of US and Israel as your so called "Arab Friends" are just the mute spectator. There is a deference between selling nukes and regular weapons.

Guys put the nukes away for goodness sake! It aint going to happen !

Well, you are right. But the question is still: Before any hostility begins if Pakistan equips Turkey with nukes will that be 'an act of war'? BTW, Pakistan is unfortunately making nukes at such a brisk rate that giving away a few is not a huge deal. No 'selling' is needed, especially to a country which Pakistanis consider their brothers. Not that selling/giving changes the fact that it is illegal to do.

Noone isolates Turkey just because israel attacked it. You have no idea about int politics,if the us and the eu isolates us then they can kiss a goodbye to their interests in the ME,and iran gets the whole chips. There is not going to be a war and nukes is sth that only Ovadia Yossef dream.

and i wonder who decides its legal or illegal?

But I' m sure Turkey never going to involve in the war situation. They know consequence, what damage can be done by them and Israel.

This ummah thing doesn't work in actual world. International relations are based on mutual interest. Turkey is one of the fastest developing country in the world why they will choose the path of Iran and get isolated ? Why don't u get that turkey is the signatory of International binding treaties ?

Even if you ask your generals regarding transferring tech forget about actual nukes to turkey they will not do so. Because the repercussions for Pakistan would be huge and it would be declare a terrorist state in a short period of time. Don't you learn anything from AQ Khan episode ? all your import and export would be shut down. See it from the business point of view. Turkey can hold herself for certain extent but Pakistan can't.

If we suppose that Turkey gets the nukes after that it will only help as a deterrence. It doesn't give a upper hand to Turkey against a battle hardened Israelis. I hope we don't see that day and issue get resolved amicably.

You would think that both nations were too "sensible" to anything stupid. Tensions are high at the moment. It would be nice if someone could damp thne spark before there is potential ignition.

I am talking about nukes not a conventional war scenario. And who told you that ME will survive after a war with Israel and its partners ?

Its ISRAEL shall involve in a war or not. If Turkey decides to enter the israeli waters,i wouldnt support it and it would be the act of war. We will see that if israel can digest when countries protect their rights. I think they will, its going to be hard but they will.

Thats why i am saying that there wont be any war.Its the last thing nearly all countries want including israel and turkey.

@Praful,
Firstly, I know it is illegal under NPT to give nuclear technology. And I am not advocating Pakistan to do so.
But you are wrong about the 'ummah' being all crap. These things DO exist and we rationalize our 'interests' based upon our cultural background. It is not just 'ummah' but common over the world. Otherwise what does someone in Indonesia gain by being so aggressively pro-Palestinian? Nations are the same. They are the enlarged versions of individual citizens. Just like human beings don't think in cut and dry terms, nations do act in emotional ways.

And, I still see a distinct possibility that Pakistan arming Turkey to prevent a nuclear blackmail. There are consequences for that. But has the Pakistani state always acted 'rationally'? I doubt that. No nation does that all the time.
