How much land was lost during Sultan Abdul Hamid's time, and what the Young Turks lost???
What Sultan Abdul Hamid achieved, and what the Young Turks achieved????
Six centuries of the Empire was lost in six years of rule by the Young Turks...
If the majority of the Turkish folks had believed in your "fairy tales" - for they lived through the lost decades - Reis Erdo'an's AKP wouldn't have been in power for the last 18 years....
I will only talk with facts and numbers that you (and everyone) can check with a simple Google search.
Abdülhamit II became a Sultan on August 1876.
Between 1877 and March 1878 was the Russian- Turkish war which under his leadership was lost.
After this war only the Ottoman Empire lost Parts of Armenia and the Caucasus to Russia. Bosnia and Herzegovina was handed to Austria- Hungary and Cyprus was handed over to Britain. Dobrogea was handed over to Romania and some lands were handed over to Serbia.
As a result Bulgaria was lost too- in the end a Million Turks and Muslims were expelled from their homes and massacred left and right - from 1/3 of the population at those times we are now 10%. You are thinking that I am an idiot or something by telling me your propaganda fairy tales about the horrors my own people endured...
After that same wat and eventual Berlin Conference in 1879 Britain gained a de facto control over Egypt and Sudan too. All because they stopped the Russians from entering Constantinople with their navy and diplomacy.
He won a war for Crete against Greece in 1897... and he lost the island on the negotiation table- Britain, France and Russia took control over the Island and gave it to the Greek King. As result all the Turkish population of the Island was massacred and expelled- some went to Anatolia, some to Egypt and the Levant.
And all that happened way before the Young Turk Revolution of 1908. So tell me how much land was lost under Abdulhamid?
