My friend,
NATO alliance is not a white privilege club. It is an alliance that should be taken seriously like USSR in earlier times.
You should get in touch with some news reports, leaders of NATO members are siding with Turkey on this incident.
For example, US president Barack Obama recently stated that Turkey have the right to defend its airspace. He also stated that Russians should not target a specific rebel group (operating in Syria) that is supported by NATO.
Turkey is also a contributor to advanced NATO military projects such as F-35. It [will] be taken seriously.
Exercises prove nothing. They are conducted to simulate a scenario and gain experience from it.
Now, I am not interested in discussing the technicalities and theoretical outcomes of a clash between F-16 and advanced Russian Jet Fighters. However, assuming that an F-16 does not have the capability to shoot down latest Russian Jet Fighters in a [real conflict] is utterly idiotic. Dog-fights are nearly irrelevant in a modern conflict in the airspace; important factors are radar coverage, situational awareness, missiles types and timely decisions.
This information have been released by Turkey:
As you can see, Turkey was fully aware of the movements of the Russian Jet Fighter. This is known as situational awareness.
Turkey have access to advanced surveillance technologies and even have stockpiles of nuclear weapons (just in case).
All the chest thumping and false bravado does not changes the fact that Turkey is a powerful nation, a member of NATO and it should be taken seriously.
The best course of action for both the nations is to respect each other's integrity and interests and deescalate tensions. Nothing more, nothing less.
LOL of course the West will say that openly. In words they will fully back Turkey, when the war starts, NATO won't lift a finger for Turkey. NATO is very much a Western club that Turkey gained access due to cold war. Turkey is a mere pawn in the chess game. Pawns are sacrificed to protect the King. West will never put at risk its cities and people and way of life in a full war with Russia to fight for a islamic jihadi regime and its islamic dictator.
Couple of Russian cruise missiles and those Turkish radars are history.
Nuclear weapons are not for you. That's for the defence of America.
F-16 cannot compete with Su-30, Su-35.
Turkey is not a powerful nation whatsoever.
General Hamid Gul, Pakistan spymaster - obituary - Telegraph
Gul became head of the ISI in 1987 at a time when America and Saudi Arabia were using the agency to funnel billions of dollars and armaments to militant groups fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan – groups that would later become the Taliban and al-Qaeda.
One of his proudest possessions was a piece of the Berlin Wall, presented to him by the people of the city in gratitude for “delivering the first blow” to the Soviet empire through his use of jihadi fighters.
Rest of the world thinks otherwise.
Who is 'rest of the world'?
